Chapter 1 - A Fragrant Flower's unusual day

Chidori High School.

A school for the low and is known as a school that houses flunkies, basically, delinquents.

And exactly next to the Chidori High School is another school, in contrast to the the school of 'delinquents' this school houses prestigious ladies and acts as honor students.

One thing known about them is that they hate everything related to Chidori, may it be their students to the teachers, they hate everything about it. Even the teachers shows contempt to them.

The root for their hate is unknown, it might be because of the thought of flunkies being next to them disgusts them, or it might be something else.

One thing was that their hate started years ago, a decade even and still, they still had this thought:

'Avoid Chidori and anything related to them at all cost.'

It might just be because they followed their predecessors hate that they also started hating them, or it might be because of the baseless rumors that floats in their school.

'I heard one of Chidor's student robbed an elder yesterday.'

'Ugh, they're truly the lowest of the low!'

'Fuck them!' said someone despite their grace.

And such was the rumors.

However, not all of them has the particular hate for Chidori. An exception of it was a particular girl, Long, wavy, blackish-purple hair, with bangs that reached her eyes that looked like the night sky, dark bluish eyes that looked pure. She was currently in her pink and black sailor uniform

Her name is Kaoruko Waguri, a student of Kikyo who didn't understand the reason for hate for the Chidori, it may just be ignorance of not knowing why or was just independent enough to not be influenced with their biases.

Currently, Kaoruko was in their classroom just a little after their homeroom ended and she was currently packing up her things after taking notes of the lessons they had earlier.

Unlike the other students who pays the tuition, Kaoruko was a scholar who works part time jobs just to cover expenses for school materials and just to help her family out.

"Kaoruko, are you ready to head home?" A stoic female voice asked next to her table.

Kaoruko looked and saw her childhood friend, she has a waist-length silver hair, often tied in a high ponytail with long, wavy bangs cascading over the right side of her face. Her light blue eyes, almost aqua marine like, scanned Kaoruko's face.

Just like Kaoruko, she is also a scholarship student albeit her family being rich and able to cover the expenses of the tuition in Kikyo Academy.

Her name is Hoshina Subaru.

"Oh, Subaru!" Kaoruko smiled cheerfully and greeted. "I just need to put my textbooks in my bag, wait for me, okay?"

Subaru smiled and nodded her head and patiently waited for Kaoruko to be ready.

Soon, Kaoruko with her bag on her arm stood up.

"Let's go!" Kaoruko initiated, now ready to go.

Subaru nodded and both walked to the hallways talking to each other about their day.

"Kaoruko, are you heading home early today?" Subaru curiously asked.

"No, I have part time today." Kaoruko smiled. Her bright eyes looking at Subaru.

"How about you?"

"I am, I have to study the materials for the tomorrow's class." Subaru affirmed before she got worried. "Are you sure you aren't pushing yourself with your part times?"

Kaoruko hearing Subaru's concerns giggled, she found Subaru's concerns to be cute and comforting.

"I'm not, if ever, I enjoy working." She remembered the restaurant she worked at. "The owner there is very kind to me and even sometimes gives me food to bring home!"

Subaru still felt doubtful but trusted her friend's words.

"That's good, but you know, if you ever need help, know that I'm always right here.."

"Hehe... Thank you, Subaru!" Kaoruko smiled gratefully. "But I'm fine, really."

"If you say so..."

Soon, Kaoruko and Subaru exited the school gates with other students.

However, all of them came to a stop when a sound of glass breaking was heard a distance to them.

A distance that's infront of Chidori High.

Subaru sensing something off went infront of the confused Kaoruko and assessed the situation.

"Bring out that bastard Shiraishi Kuro and no one gets hurt!" A man seemingly in his 20s shouted infront of Chidori's gate holding a broken glass bottle.

He looked intimating and even had piercings on his nose, lips and ears, an anept description of a thug.

"That bastard took good care of my goons yesterday, it's about time he finds out just who he messed with!"

He yelled and howled but at the end he was soon apprehended by a nearby officer and soon was taken to custody.

Kaoruko and Subaru just watched the police car leave before sighing relief.

"T-That was intense... He looked really scary, I can't believe he came here threatening someone." Said a nervous and slightly trembling Kaoruko.

Subaru internally agreed, while she put on a confident front, she also felt scared seeing a dangerous man.

"Yeah, it's a good thing that a nearby officer apprehended him."

"Still... They've caused trouble again, those Chidori kids... Shiraishi Kuro was it?" Her eyes narrowed dangerously, looking at the still panicked Chidori students.

"Mhm... But, it's a good thing no one got hurt, right?"

Subaru smiled. "Of course, although, the person who caused this whole mess didn't even go out to deal with it himself, as expected from those vulgar people." Her eyes shone with anger at the end.

"Subaru, you shouldn't say stuff like that!" Kaoruko reprimanded her behavior.

"Haah... I'm sorry, you're right, anyway, shall we get going?" Subaru looked at Kaoruko. "I'll take you to your part time, with earlier's incident, I don't feel comfortable leaving you alone by yourself."

Kaoruko's eyes widened before waving her arms. "You don't need to do that, you're pretty busy as well, right?" She remembered her words. "I don't want to trouble you."

"It's fine, I would just feel more comfortable if I walk you off to your part time." Subaru insisted with a smile.

"Uhhm... Okay, then."

Settling the situation, the two students from Kikyo started walking, still somewhat tensed from earlier's incident but noticeably calmer.

Waguri Kaoruko's POV

"Huuh... Today has been tiring." A tired sigh escaped her lips. It has been a few hours since she left the school with Subaru after the incident and after Subaru dropped her off to the restaurant she left after saying goodbyes and Kaoruko started working.

It was now evening and the nearby buildings and lampposts has their light turned on showing a beautiful view to those that sees it.

Just before crossing the street, she saw an elderly Woman having trouble crossing the busy street so Kaoruko being the good person that she was, helped her out.

The elderly Woman smiled gratefully and accepted the help sensing her genuinity.

Thus, they crossed the street but then another unfortunate incident happened.

"My purse!" The elderly woman who stumbled to the floor shouted and Kaoruko was pushed stumbling a little by the man who snatched the purse.

"U-Uhmm, are you okay?!" Kaoruko helped the granny up.

"Yes, but my purse..."

"Don't worry, I'll try to get it back for you!" She assured before running off.

Kaoruko knew that she's getting herself in danger by trying to catch the snatcher but she just couldn't sit still either.

A few minutes have gone by and Kaoruko was now breathless from all the running around, she was now feeling guilty for not even being able to find the snatcher.

But then she heard a thudding sound in an alleyway, she felt nervous to herself but decided to check it out, it might be the snatcher she thought to herself.

"Haah... Now then, how will I get this purse back? Let's see here, it's a granny in her 70's, geez this little turd snatched something from an elderly? Yeah, you deserved that kick to the chamber."

'A male's voice?'

She soon saw the silhouette of a young teen her age with a jet black hair with bangs that reaches to the eyes, his eyes has a blackish-purple color.

But what caught her attention was the clothes he was wearing that looked exactly just like..

'That's a Chidori high uniform'

The teen also noticed her and his eyes widened a little. "A kid- No, wait, that uniform is from Kikyo High I think... So, a high schooler as well?" He guessed.

"U-Uhm... What happened to that man?" Kaoruko felt nervous and pointed to the man before her eyes widened in recognition.

The man laying on the ground is the snatcher that she was chasing after!

"Oh... Uh, I know that Kikyo girls judges us Chidori guys pretty quickly but please listen to me." The teen raised his hand that was holding a purse.

"O-Oh, umm, I'm also chasing this person because he snatched a pouch from an elderly and I won't judge you!"

The teen's eyes widened before showing a toothy grin relieved. "That's great, so you know where the granny who this pouch belongs to, right? Here, take this." He gave Kaoruko the pouch and upon checking, she found nothing missing.

"Thank you! So, umm, will this person really be just fine?" Kaoruko didn't feel much pity for the snatcher but seeing his pained expression made her pity him a little.

"Yeah, at worst, he will probably not be able to walk properly in jail."

Kaoruko smiled wryly at the male's blunt honesty.

"Then, is there any way I can repay you for helping me retrieve the pouch? If you need anything, please just tell me!"

"No, that's alright, just give the pouch back to the granny for me, I'm taking this guy to the station." He said before dragging the unconscious snatcher on the ground.

"Well then, see you!"

Seeing him start leaving, Kaoruko felt something missing so she shouted.

"Uhmm, I'm Waguri Kaoruko, what's your name?"

The teen stopped before grinning. "I'm Shiraishi Kuro, it's a pleasure to meet you too, Waguri-san!"

'huh..?'

A/N: First and probably the last chapter, I just wrote this because I felt bored after watching Fragrant Flowers so this was basically made just to pass time.

Although, I might write more if this does well, probably not with just one chapter, lol. Also, would you all hate if Waguri got taken away from Rintaro in this fic? I just wanted to know if I decide to continue.
