She looked at Kiara in disbelief. Until now, she had believed Kaelan was her twin brother. The fact that Kiara was casually correcting that assumption left her completely caught off guard.
"He's not your twin brother?"
Kiara glanced at her but didn't elaborate.
"I'll explain later."
She resumed walking, leaving Scarlett with even more questions than before.
Scarlett watched her for a few seconds before following. She knew Kiara well enough to understand that pressing her now wouldn't get her an answer. Whatever the truth was, Kiara had clearly decided to keep it to herself for the moment.
