Several Support students shook their heads one after another. Most of those who became Support or Healer classes were girls. These young girls were scared out of their wits just by the sight of Morintis's Skeleton Warriors; teaming up was out of the question.
Morintis said calmly, "Teacher Stone, I also intend to test for Xiaming Academy."
His meaning was very clear: I don't want to party up; I want to solo.
Victor Stone looked slightly surprised. "Do you know how difficult it is to test into Xiaming Academy?"
Morintis nodded. "I am confident."
Stone understood Morintis's determination. "I hope you succeed."
To test into Xiaming Academy, the first requirement was level. One needed to be at least Level 12, and Level 15 to be safe. Last year, Morana was admitted to Xiaming Academy at Level 16.
Reaching Level 12 in just one week wasn't easy. Reaching Level 15 was even more difficult.
The highest level monster in the Starter Dungeon was only Level 8, making it impossible to reach Level 12 there. The danger level in the wild was far higher than in the Starter Dungeon. For new class holders like them, rushing out there would be suicide.
Besides the level requirement, there were other conditions. The specifics would only be known when the major exam arrived.
Following Stone's request, the few Combat class holders all chose their Support partners, forming parties of two or three.
Leo chose a Prophet Support. The Prophet could apply buffs to him and provide some healing, making for a decent healer.
The procedures were handled, and the school issued weapons and equipment to everyone. Warriors received different weapons based on their class.
"Do I look dashing or what!" Leo, having received an iron sword and a shield, struck a pose as if he were the greatest thing since sliced bread.
Morintis also received a staff.
[Staff]
[Spirit +1]
It was an ungraded weapon with negligible bonuses. Having it was pretty much the same as not having it; it just served for appearances.
Sophia had her own weapon and didn't take the school's. Her weapon was a spellbook. Morintis could sense a fairly strong energy flowing from it; it was probably a decent piece of equipment.
Before entering the dungeon, Sophia said to Morintis, "Let's compete. See who levels up faster."
Morintis neither agreed nor refused, offering no definite response.
Sophia gave a proud humph, tilting her head back to reveal her long, fair neck. "If you don't answer, I'll take it as acceptance." With that, she turned and entered the dungeon.
A slight movement touched Morintis's lips. "Such a strong competitive spirit." He murmured the words and then entered the dungeon himself.
The Starter Dungeon environment was a vast grassland with lush, verdant grass over half a meter tall. Many smaller monsters hid within the grass, making them hard to spot. The monster density here wasn't high, making it relatively safe, but this also led to a problem: the time spent finding monsters was longer than the time spent fighting them.
The purpose of the Starter Dungeon was to let newcomers get used to and adapt to combat.
Morintis released his four Skeleton Warriors. "Go find monsters and kill them."
With a single thought, the four Skeleton Warriors ran off in four different directions. Clatter, clatter. As they ran, they carried gusts of chilling wind with them.
"So fast!"
With their high Agility attribute of 150, the Skeleton Warriors ran extremely swiftly. In the blink of an eye, they had covered dozens of meters.
Just then, one Skeleton Warrior swung its rusty sword.
[Successfully killed Big-Eared Rabbit. Experience +10]
The Level 1 Big-Eared Rabbit was instantly killed by the Skeleton Warrior.
Morintis checked his experience. It had increased by 1%. Each Level 1 monster gave 1% experience; killing 100 would level him up.

Notifications appeared continuously. The four Skeleton Warriors kept finding and killing Big-Eared Rabbits. In just a few minutes, Morintis's experience had increased by 10%.
This efficiency was incredibly high.
Morintis had originally planned to stay in the Starter Dungeon for two days, leaving after reaching Level 8. Now, it seemed he might not need that long.
Morintis used his skill, summoning another Black Iron Skeleton Warrior. This new skeleton joined the monster-hunting team.
Morintis himself sat down and began to meditate.
Half an hour later, Morintis experienced his first level-up.

His level increased, and his attributes grew. The Summon Space increased from 10 to 20, enough to hold 20 summons. His skill levels also increased accordingly.
"I wonder if the Level 2 Skeleton Warrior's attributes have changed."
Based on the knowledge Morintis had acquired, when skill levels increased, the attributes of the summoned creatures should also improve.
Due to the level-up, his Spirit was fully restored. Morintis activated his skill and summoned another Black Iron Skeleton Warrior.
This time, Morintis noticed differences. The Spirit cost for the Level 2 skill had increased; summoning one Skeleton Warrior now cost 15 points, up from 10.
The Level 2 Skeleton Warrior, while still Black Iron-tier, was noticeably brighter. Much of the grayness had faded, and the cracks on its body were fewer.
