Chapter 6 - Solo or Party?

On the surface, this newly summoned Black Iron Skeleton Warrior looked no different from the one summoned yesterday afternoon. Its appearance was unchanged, still looking like it came from a junk pile.

But one shouldn't judge things by appearance alone.

[Black Iron Skeleton Warrior]

[Strength: 150]

[Agility: 150]

[Spirit: 150]

[Constitution: 150]

[Skills: None]

While the exterior was identical, the attributes had undergone a world-shaking transformation. All attributes had increased tenfold.

Not to mention Strength, Agility, and Spirit, the tenfold increase in Constitution basically meant the Skeleton Warrior's vitality and defense had both increased tenfold.

Combined with the Damage Transfer skill, killing Morintis would now be extremely difficult.

Morintis also released the Skeleton Warrior stored in his Summon Space and found its attributes had also been multiplied tenfold. The Comprehensive Amplification had taken effect there as well.

His Spirit was now down to 10 points. Morintis summoned another Black Iron Skeleton.

Afterwards, he began to meditate. Meditation was the best method to recover Spirit and could replace sleep. Many students at the school could do it.

The next morning, Morintis woke up on time. His Spirit was fully recovered.

Three Black Iron Skeletons stood faithfully in front of him, motionless like guards. As the soul fires in their skulls flickered, a chilling aura filled the room, dropping the temperature by several degrees.

"Would be quite nice in summer. Wouldn't have to worry about the heat," Morintis thought, the corner of his mouth quirking up very slightly.

He used Summon Skeleton again, calling forth a fourth Skeleton Warrior.

Then, he stored all four skeletons in his Summon Space.

With 10 Spirit points reserved and four Black Iron Skeletons amplified tenfold, Morintis considered this completely sufficient.

With 150 Strength, even Level 7 or 8 Knights or Warriors wouldn't necessarily surpass that.

A bus was already waiting at the school gate to take them to the dungeon location.

When they arrived at the dungeon entrance, it was already packed. It wasn't just First High School coming to the Starter Dungeon; almost all students from Westsea City who had completed their class change would come.

Westsea City had six high schools in total. Over 800 students underwent the class change yesterday. Most of them had become Life class holders. Fewer than 200, less than a third, could come here today.

The students stood together while the school teachers went to handle the dungeon entry procedures.

"Old Stone, you hit the jackpot this time."

"Not just one Combat Rare class, but also a Unique Hidden class. You really scored big."

"Your First High has been amazing these past two years. Last year, Morana got into Xiaming Academy. Planning to knock on Xiaming's door again this year?"

Several principals gathered together, chatting animatedly.

Victor Stone beamed, his face glowing. "Sophia and Morintis are indeed outstanding. If they have the chance, I truly hope they can test into Xiaming Academy."

"Sophia? Is she the young lady from the Xia family?"

"And Morintis... that name sounds so similar to Morana."

Stone explained, "Sophia is indeed the young lady of the Xia family. Morintis is Morana's younger brother."

"No wonder. The Xia family bloodline is quite remarkable. As for Morintis, that sister-brother pair is truly impressive."

Leo poked Morintis. "Want to party up?"

Faced with Leo's invitation, Morintis shook his head.

Leo pretended to be angry. "You jerk, do you look down on me?"

"This young master sincerely invites you. If you don't give me a reasonable explanation, I won't let this rest!"

He looked angry, but the hint of laughter in his eyes betrayed him. Morintis ignored him. Sure enough, within seconds, Leo changed his tune.

"Boss, why won't you party with me?"

Morintis said calmly, "Leveling is slower in a party. Solo is faster."

Leo found it strange. "How do you know that?"

"Read more books," Morintis replied, offering another rare sentence.

Leo scratched his head, clearly not entirely convinced.

Suddenly, Sophia, who was nearby, spoke up. "Morintis is right. In a two-person party, although you kill monsters faster, the experience is split between the two."

"The killing speed in a duo increases by at most 50% to 60%, but the time spent finding monsters remains fixed. So the overall efficiency is slower."

"Based on experience summarized by predecessors, dungeons below Level 10 are suitable for soloing. Dungeons above Level 10 are more suitable for parties."

Sophia explained it clearly. Leo wasn't stupid and understood after thinking about it.

Just then, Victor Stone walked over.

"Except for Sophia and Morintis, all Combat class holders must form parties with several Support class holders to enter the dungeon."

"Don't think about solo leveling. Remember, when you go to high-difficulty dungeons in the future, you can't do without Support."

"If you're unwilling to party with Support now, don't expect to find Support when you need them later. Things don't work that nicely."

"To put it bluntly, rather than looking for unfamiliar Support, it's better to party with your own classmates. At least you share a bond, and they are less likely to run off alone if danger arises."

Stone's explanation was very clear, and the facts were indeed as he said. It cooled the enthusiasm of those who had started considering soloing.

If Combat classes didn't party with Support, the Support leveling speed would be very, very slow.

Someone asked, "Why don't Sophia and Morintis need to party with Support?"

Stone cleared his throat. "Those two are different. Sophia aims to test into Xiaming Academy and needs to level up quickly."

Furthermore, Sophia wouldn't stay in the Starter Dungeon for long. At most two days, and she would leave this place.

"As for Morintis, I don't understand his class and don't know his combat power. You can ask the Support students if they are willing to party with him."
