Half an Hour Later;
Nick Fury sat in front of Adam. He didn't waste any breath and started asking questions.
"My first question: who protects us from Dimensional Beings?"
Adam waved his hand, and a picture of the Ancient One appeared.
"She is the Sorcerer Supreme. She has protected humanity for hundreds of years."
"She has established a force called Kama Taj. Kama Taj protects temples, and temples create a barrier around the World, protecting Earth."
As he said, he changed the picture of Ancient One to three temples and then a shield that wraps around the world.
When Nick saw this, his heart was shaken.
He never expected Ancient One or Kama Taj to protect Earth for hundreds of years. No, he hadn't seen their battles.
There was no record of Kama Taj or sorcerers. So, how do they do that?
And that's exactly what Nick planned to ask.
"How do they keep their secrecy?"
Adam dispersed the surroundings and said.
"They fight in a world known as the Mirror Dimension. In Mirror Dimension, anything they do will not affect the real world."
Nick Fury took a deep breath.
'So, that's how it is. But I still have one question.'
"How strong is she?"
At this moment, Adam chuckled. He knew this was the moment to show the power of Dimensional Being.
He used his purple energy to release another projection. This time, it was when Dormammu invaded Earth.
When Fury saw Dormammu, he gripped the armrest. He couldn't believe something like that existed in this world.
A being bigger than Earth.
A being who had an entire galaxy or world behind him.
Gulp!
He heavily swallowed. All of his experience as an Agent barely helped him keep his calm.
Before this, he only assumed she would be as powerful as Carol. But now, he was beginning to waver.
Could Carol even face something like this?
It wasn't the same as destroying a battleship. This was an entire planet that she needed to destroy.
'No wonder, no wonder, even in his absolute despair, Charles never used his power to brainwash or kill humans.'
'So, humans always had someone at this caliber protecting them. If this guy is so powerful, what about him?'
When Fury thought about it, he raised his head and asked.
"How powerful is your Lord compared to them?"
A smirk appeared on his face as Adam replied.
"Ancient One can not kill Dormammu. My Lord can."
Hiss!
Fury took a deep breath. It took him quite a while to adjust. This was probably the biggest news he had heard in his entire life.
"Have you calmed down? You still have six more questions."
Fury nodded and kept his face expressionless as he spoke.
"What is your purpose of approaching Steve Rogers?"
The moment he asked this question, another word came out.
"Fuck!"
He hurriedly shook his head and said.
"No, that's not the question. It was a mistake."
"Sorry, Mr Fury! You asked the question, and I have to answer it."
Adam chuckled as he replied.
"I awakened Rogers for his soul. After all, his soul is one of the purest souls. By the way, for his soul, I have given him three tradeoffs."
"I will not mention first and second. The third trade is about giving him power. Let's just if he encounters an opportunity, he can grow to the strength of the Ancient One."
When Fury heard that, his pupils dilated, but he quickly thought about it and asked.
"You are saying this so I will try to convince Rogers to sell his soul?"
"Exactly! And, I believe you will do it."
Adam answered.
Fury didn't give him a reply instead asked.
"You will not go on a killing spree because of your identity. But will you favor mutants?"
"Yes and No!"
Adam chuckled.
"My Lord has an agreement with the Ancient One. For allowing me to freely work on this planet, I am not allowed to openly support mutants."
Fury didn't reply immediately. Instead, he contemplated for a moment. He was thinking about what exactly Adam was trying to say here.
And, after a while, he realized one question he needed to ask.
"Why did your Lord choose Naruto?"
"Because of his kind nature. You heard his broadcast. You should have a good understanding of what kind of person he is."
"He chose Naruto because only Naruto had a heart to forgive others despite all the suffering he went through."
"On the other hand, I can't do something like that. So, he gave Naruto his power to create a balance with me."
Fury once again realized the situation in his mind and asked.
"So, you can't favor mutants, but you can favor those with powers. Is that why your Lord has five mutant heralds and only one human herald?"
Adam chuckled and replied.
"Yes!"
'So, I can ask Natasha, Barton, even Hill and Coulson to access this Dimensional Lord's powers.'
'Even if they can't grow to the level of Ancient One, at least, they will gain a massive boost in strength.'
'With them, I can also complete my Avenger project. Now, I only have two questions. I have to be extremely careful while questioning.'
He took a deep breath, and several questions came to his mind.
But eventually, he realized he needed two more confirmations. They would definitely be questions, so he would have no choice but to waste them.
He looked at Adam and asked.
"If Carol Danvers gets your Lord's power, can she fight him?"
When he heard that, Adam was surprised.
He never thought Fury would bring up Carol here. After all, Carol was one of the very few humans who could be counted with the gods.
Her power was truly astonishing, and he wanted to understand more about her power.
He nodded his head and shook.
"If it is outside his Dimension, she can. If it is inside his Dimension, she can't."
Hearing that, Fury asked.
"Will you step in if humanity is at risk of destruction?"
Adam remained thoughtful. He didn't want to answer this question, but he had to.
So, he decided how he should answer it. Finally, he came up with an answer and replied.
"As long as the population goes down a million?"
When he heard that, Fury realized that the only reason Adam wasn't killing humans was simply for his Lord.
Although Ross did say this before, he still wanted a confirmation.
Now getting this confirmation, he wasn't sure if he felt heavy or relieved.
He felt heavy because Adam would let billions of people die before he stepped in.
He felt relieved because Adam would never contradict his Lord.
As long as humanity lived, they would keep producing souls for their Lord, and that would keep humanity safe.
That's all he needed to know.
He didn't care if this Dimensional Being was on their side or not. He knew Ancient One had given him free access to Earth.
So, he wasn't a threat. That's all it mattered.
Fury stood up and asked.
"Are there other ways I can bargain with you?"
Adam curiously stared at him and asked.
Fury replied.
"If I ask more of my agents to sign the contract, can you fulfill certain conditions of mine?"
Hearing that, Adam couldn't help but feel speechless.
'This guy truly doesn't treat his agents as human beings. Who in their right mind will actively sell their souls to someone they consider a devil?'
But Adam nodded his head and said.
"I can give you more information or even help you if you fulfill some of my conditions."
"Aside from my identity as the Herald, I am not planning to leave this world, and I also don't want to cause a lot of trouble."
"So, we can trade."
Hearing that, Nick Fury narrowed his eyes and said.
"Trade information?"
"No, a product of our company! It will take a few more months to be ready, but it will definitely surprise you."
Fury nodded.
"Alright then, I hope we can have a nice trade."
"I have a piece of information that I want to trade for something." Adam didn't hesitate to open his condition.
"What do you need?" Fury asked.
"A full training course of Shield, alongside materials."
Fury was surprised by such a condition. He stared at Adam for a moment before asking.
"What about the information?"
Adam smiled. This smile was quite dangerous for Fury, but he kept his face calm, staring at him.
"A month later, there will be a huge battle in New Mexico. The scope of this battle would need the intervention of powerful beings."
Hearing that, Fury turned around and said.
"I will have Coulson send your materials."
Saying so, he left the room and walked out of his building.
Adam's words did shake him.
After all, the fact that they needed the invention of powerful beings meant their soldiers were just gonna be useless.
Adam was left in the room alone, with a smile.
"Now, I just need to get that thing."
