He took a slow sip before asking casually, "Where's Eli?"
It was already almost nine o'clock, yet the guest Adrian had personally invited still had not appeared.
Lancelot had already sent someone to look for him. They had checked Eli's dormitory and the training grounds, but Eli was nowhere to be found, and he had not responded to any messages.
Even Lancelot, who was usually mild-tempered and patient, could not help frowning.
"I'll send someone to look for him again."
Adrian lowered his eyes and gently shook the ice in his glass.
"No need. If he doesn't come—"
Before he could finish the sentence, the banquet hall doors opened again.
The belated guest had finally arrived.
Eli stood in the doorway.
The jacket he had been wearing earlier had disappeared during the struggle. Only the tight black training clothes beneath it remained, and the breathable fabric had been completely soaked through. It clung coldly to his body, outlining his slender frame beneath the wet material.
