Pangu listened quietly to everything, his expression complex. He did not dwell on why he himself had been completely unaware, but in that instant, he saw through to a deeper truth—the Lord of Order's demand to recruit new gods was not merely due to poor management, but also because he had foreseen long ago that this rigid system needed new variables.
"Thank you for letting me know the truth of this world," Pangu slowly began, his voice steady yet carrying a faint tremor, "and for making me realize my failings as a ruler. Thank you."
"Is there anything we can do to help?" Shan Jue stepped forward and asked earnestly.
Pangu shook his head. "Before your souls have fully merged with the knowledge and power of your divine natures, there is no need to rush into action. Why not follow your elder brother and draw wisdom from him?" He gazed into the distance and murmured, "He should be in his study reading scriptures or enjoying music at this moment. I need to go out for some air."
Before his words had fully faded, Pangu's figure gradually dissipated and vanished.
The brother and sister arrived at the Lord of Order's door. The door was not fully closed, and soft music drifted out from within.
"Elder Brother, may we come in?" Shan Jue called into the room.
There was no response.
Pushing the door open, they saw the Lord of Order lying still on the bed, motionless. No matter how they called to him, he showed no reaction.
"Could it be... he's left his body?" the sister suddenly whispered.
"Yes, that must be it," the brother replied, suppressing his emotions.
They gently closed the door and waited outside. Time passed, the music continued to play, but there was no movement from inside the room.
"Could Elder Brother's soul have gone to the human world or Hell?" the sister couldn't help but ask.
"Very likely, but what if it hasn't?"
"The music is still playing, but he's just lying there—it doesn't make sense."
Shan Jue thought for a moment. "There is so much knowledge and power in this world that we cannot yet understand, and besides, our souls are not yet fully merged... Perhaps we're overthinking it."
With uneasy hearts, they turned to close the door. Just then—
"Who told you to close the door?" A familiar voice suddenly came from behind them, though no one was visible. "Open it quickly—how am I supposed to get back like this!"
The siblings hurriedly pushed the door open again, and saw the Lord of Order's previously still body slowly sit up.
Rubbing his temples, the Lord of Order glanced at the music still playing. "Oh, the music isn't off yet," he said casually, then looked up and asked calmly, "What did you need?"
Shan Jue took a deep breath and looked solemnly at the Lord of Order:
"Elder Brother, please teach us—how does one leave one's body?"
