Jefferson's POV
The shock hit me like lightning, adrenaline flooding my system as reality crashed down around me. The factory stood before me like a monument to destruction, flames consuming everything in their path, casting twisted shadows against the smoke-filled sky. Logic abandoned me completely. Every fiber of my being demanded action, demanded I reach her.
My feet moved without permission, carrying me toward the blazing wreckage. A vice-like grip suddenly clamped around my forearm, yanking me backward with surprising force. I whirled around, fury blazing in my chest, ready to destroy whoever dared interfere. Then Javier's face came into focus.
"Jefferson, stop!" His voice cut through the chaos like a blade, his hold unforgiving. Fire coursed through my veins as I prepared to break free, but Alana's desperate cry shattered my concentration.
"Mandy!"
My gaze snapped to her, confusion twisting in my stomach before I turned back to the inferno.
