On the outskirts of Musutafu lay a large mountainous area that enclosed and concealed within it an area with rivers, forests, and extremely unique natural landscapes. The area, accessible only through a tunnel, was home to one of the most famous and powerful families in the world. The Alepou family, known by the people as "the entertainment family," were renowned owners of companies that dominated the global entertainment and arts scene, with a rich and long tradition built by several generations over several centuries.
The interior of the property reflected the prestige and wealth of the family. Among the most striking constructions were a series of themed gardens, amusement parks of different styles, swimming pool complexes and water parks, buildings with architecture from different eras, and even a large sports complex, which allowed almost all sports to be practiced and enjoyed inside. Other less striking but noteworthy features throughout the property included polished stone paths, bridges of different designs, and a cable car connecting some special areas in the mountains.
The main building of the property was located in the center of it all, on a small island between the rivers of the valley. It was a luxurious and spacious three-story Victorian mansion built with the best materials money could buy, in addition to some common areas such as a swimming pool, interior garden, and more.
In this world of luxury and wealth, we focus on the largest room in the mansion, located on the top floor, where our protagonist was to be found. A fifteen-year-old boy named Lefki Alepou, who was about 165 centimeters tall with a slim and athletic build, with striking and peculiar features.
His hair, a rare spiral combination of white, red, and green in the style of a candy cane that reached his neck, was combed in a calm and relaxed style. His heterochromatic eyes stood out for their peculiar patterns, his left eye with a striking rainbow pattern and his right eye with a kind of combination of two rotating inner wheels. the first had the fourteen symbols of the zodiac, the second the twelve symbols of the zodiac, and inside the two wheels was a yin-yang symbol.
On his skin, pastel-colored tattoos depicted mythological figures from all kinds of cultures, from Greek to Native American. His Greek features, a legacy of his birth in the city of Rhodes, gave him a youthful and charming air.
Lefki, dressed in shark costume pajamas, rested peacefully in the wide, padded frame of one of the windows in his room. He looked at the landscape with a unique curiosity and tranquility, like a child admiring the world for the first time, while the two wheels in his right eye slowly turned.
– It's always wonderful to see how vast and unique our world is – Lefki said in his soft, sweet voice, like that of a small, innocent child – The architecture, nature, people, and all the elements present – it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my entire life. Every day I wake up, I feel as if I'm seeing it all for the first time; it's like a dream that never ends.
– Lefki, why did you wake up so early? – a voice suddenly murmured lazily from Lefki's bed – Did you have a nightmare, or did something make a noise?
In Lefki's bed, a large Victorian-style oak bed that could comfortably accommodate up to twelve people, located just a few feet from the window where young Alepou was, a girl was tossing and turning among the sheets. Her hair was disheveled, and she looked tired. She struggled to lift her head from her pillow and focus her gaze on Lefki.
The girl was a young woman of about 16 years old, about 170 centimeters tall, with an athletic and curvy build, slightly tanned skin, wavy black hair with purple highlights, and bright violet eyes. She was dressed in gray wool pajamas with purple moon patterns.
– Talia, it's nothing like that, it's just that I was really excited about the meeting with the UA people, and I couldn't sleep much without the idea running through my head – Lefki said with a big smile and excitement – Aren't you excited about it too?
– Lefki, you know that I'm generally not interested in or concerned with many things –Talia replied sleepily, as she arranged her hair in a ponytail and moved to sit next to Lefki – UA isn't on my list of places of interest; for me, it's just another place I'll go with you to.
– Well, I suppose that's to be expected. Not everyone in the family is so interested in being a hero, even if it's the best institution in the country for that – Lefki said, resting his head on Talia's shoulder – Although I'm glad you're still joining me on this adventure, as always.
– Talia, do you happen to know who in the family will be at the meeting? – Lefki asked as Talia began to stroke his head.
– Nothing out of the ordinary, how we always handle serious matters, Lefki – Talia said calmly, a little more awake – Olivia and Quang will be with you in the discussion with the UA people, and I'll be in the background with your caretakers, as always.
– I suppose that's always to be expected in these kinds of situations, which siblings are the most suited and interested in these matters – Lefki said, yawning and enjoying the show of affection – Changing the subject, do you know who's in charge of the family meeting this week? And where will it be?
– Amalhe is in charge this week, and the location is the mansion's pool, since she said she wanted something more relaxed this week – Talia said, looking out the window at the pool in the courtyard – I'll remind you that you might have to get in the pool for some activity, so wear appropriate clothing.
– Yes, I know, and I'll keep that in mind – Lefki replied with a smile, before hearing a soft knock on the door – It's open, you can come in.
After the reply, the oak door to the room slowly opened, revealing two girls pushing a trolley full of various dishes. The first girl was of average height, with straight, light brown hair that fell just below her shoulders and large, dark brown eyes. She had a curvy figure and wore a simple pastel blue blouse, linen trousers, and light blue slippers.
The second girl had platinum blonde hair down to her thighs, tied in a low bun with a white ribbon. She had pale blue eyes, extremely fair skin, and a slender, well-proportioned figure. She wore an elegant gray maid's uniform with black shoes and was the one pushing the food trolley.
– Camie and Anna, good morning to both of you –Lefki said cheerfully, seeing her caretaker and personal servant enter with breakfast – It's a pleasure to see you so early.
– Anna serves breakfast on the balcony table as always, if you please – Camie said calmly as the maid nodded before turning her attention back to Lefki with a small smile – Good morning, Lefki. I'm glad to see you woke up on your own this time."
– He's excited about the meeting with the UA people – Talia said calmly as Lefki excitedly went to the balcony where Anna was serving a series of dishes – What will we have for breakfast today?
– For Lefki, as always, we have something loaded with sugar, just the way he likes it: waffles with vanilla ice cream, caramel and chocolate sauce, whipped cream, M&Ms, and some cherries with a strawberry milkshake – Camie said, approaching until she was just a few feet away from Talia – For you today, it's a bacon, ground beef, mozzarella cheese, and BBQ sauce sandwich with iced tea. I'll have a simple cup of coffee with French toast.
–Always with your light breakfast, Camie – Talia said calmly as she moved to the table beside Camie, where Lefki waited impatiently, shifting her feet under the table for them both – It's a wonderful breakfast to start the day.
–I hope you enjoy it – Anna said in a calm, flat voice as she served the last plate, then gave a simple bow – With your permission, I'll be off. I'll be in the laundry room if you need anything.
– See you later, Anna, and have a good day – Lefki said to the maid, who gave her a small smile before gently closing the bedroom door – This breakfast looks delicious, thank you, Camie. You always know how to spoil me with what I like.
– Always the best for you, Lefki – Camie said with a small laugh at Lefki's attitude, who responded with a broad smile – Eat slowly and enjoy it, because later we'll have to get you ready for the meeting with UA. Quang confirmed that you'll be meeting at ten in a room in the mansion.
– Understood, Camie – Lefki said before taking a large piece of waffle and shoving it in his mouth, causing his cheeks to puff out – It's as delicious as ever.
This made Camie put her hand up to stifle a laugh at the sight of the younger Alepou's puffed-out cheeks, and Talia simply smiled as she tasted her food and commented on how good it was.
