Time flew like an arrow.
In the blink of an eye, nearly another year had passed.
Goku and the others still hadn't returned to Earth. Meanwhile, Vegeta divided his time between cultivation and reorganizing the remnants of the Frieza Force and Cooler's forces.
One thing worth mentioning was Bulma's governing ability.
Even with their influence expanding to this scale, she managed everything with ease.
Of course, it wasn't her alone.
Dr. Brief, Bikini, and even Tights contributed greatly.
Vegeta had never expected that Bulma and Tights' mother—who appeared carefree and indulgent—would reveal herself to be an exceptional businesswoman once serious.
And Tights?
In certain aspects of leadership and personnel management, she even surpassed Bulma.
Tights' transformation began after she returned to Earth.
At first, she was merely an outsider offering advice.
Then she started pestering Vegeta—asking questions, gathering stories, observing him from every angle.
Eventually, she annoyed him enough that he confronted her.
That was when she admitted it.
She wanted to use him as the protagonist of her next space adventure novel.
With Bulma mediating, Vegeta agreed.
If she was going to write, she might as well write the truth.
So he sent her to Planet 79.
There, Nappa and the other commanders who had known Vegeta for years could provide perspective.
What no one expected was how quickly Tights adapted.
She not only gathered material for her novel—but also assisted with governance and restructuring.
By now, almost all recovery efforts were complete.
Some still pretended loyalty.
But in this universe, the weak had no right to choose.
Over time, the Vegeta Force would fully replace the Frieza family's influence.
Currently, Vegeta controlled over one hundred base planets.
His influence extended across the four major galactic quadrants.
More than one thousand life-bearing planets acknowledged his authority.
As for lifeless resource planets?
Over twenty thousand.
An absurd number.
Yet Vegeta felt nothing.
He knew how vast the universe truly was.
Even ruling an entire universe was merely the beginning.
If not for wanting Bulma to command limitless resources and break her own boundaries, he wouldn't have bothered reorganizing the scattered factions.
In this world—
Personal strength was the true foundation.
March 15, Age 764.
Nearly a year since May 20th.
In Bulma's backyard research facility stood a brand-new multi-passenger Time Machine.
Vegeta had prepared meticulously.
This wasn't just space travel.
It was travel across time.
Bulma had wanted to go.
After long discussions—and firm refusal from Vegeta—she agreed to stay.
"Are you ready?" Bulma asked again, adjusting his clothes and checking his supplies.
Vegeta smiled.
"We've tested it many times. I'm only going to observe the future and run some experiments."
"I'll return once I'm finished."
She nodded.
But worry lingered.
He pulled her into a long embrace.
"It may feel long to me," Vegeta said softly, "but not for you. The return time is fixed."
She nodded again.
He looked at Dr. Brief, Bikini, Tights, Hera—and finally Nappa.
Through mental communication, he instructed Nappa to protect everyone.
Nappa had changed drastically.
His battle power now reached 1.25 million.
More importantly, he had matured.
Still blunt.
Still straightforward.
But loyal beyond question.
There was no one better suited to guard Vegeta's family.
Vegeta brought ample supplies.
Including 100 Senzu Beans.
Over the past year, Korin had focused entirely on sustainable cultivation.
Without Yajirobe stealing them, production flourished.
Currently, over 150 beans were stored—excluding seeds.
Korin used two cultivation methods:
Rapid forced ripening — one harvest every one or two months, but limited yield.
Seasonal stable growth — four harvests per year, each more than doubling the planted amount.
He chose the second.
If Vegeta hadn't taken 100 beans now, the next harvest alone would exceed 200.
The goal was simple:
Stabilize the base.
Achieve exponential growth.
Eventually—
Senzu Beans by the vatful.
For Saiyans, 100 beans were nothing.
A month of extreme training could consume them all.
Production needed to scale further.
Vegeta boarded the Time Machine.
Target date:
March 15, Age 784.
Twenty years into the future.
He wanted precision.
He also wanted to test something:
Would he arrive in the timeline ravaged by the Androids and Cell?
Or somewhere else?
He pressed the final button.
The machine lifted into the air.
A translucent glow enveloped it.
In moments—
It vanished.
Bulma and the others watched silently.
Though tests had succeeded before—
This was different.
This was a true jump.
Far away—
In Universe 7's God of Destruction Realm—
Whis paused mid-cooking.
He sensed it.
A significant spatio-temporal disturbance.
He summoned his staff and investigated.
Someone had opened a time barrier and crossed timelines.
With a simple flick of divine perception, he traced the source.
The scene replayed before him.
A Time Machine.
"Oh my~," Whis murmured. "How interesting."
He continued investigating.
And grew more surprised.
Frieza. King Cold. Cooler.
All eliminated.
By Vegeta.
The Saiyan Prince had overturned the cosmic balance in mere years.
"Super Saiyan…" Whis mused thoughtfully.
He glanced toward Beerus, who still slept deeply, digesting accumulated destruction energy.
Beerus would not awaken for at least another decade.
"If it doesn't threaten universal balance," Whis smiled faintly, "then I shall pretend I saw nothing."
Angels could not descend casually to intervene.
For now—
He would simply observe.
Inside the time tunnel—
Vegeta regained his bearings.
Outside the cockpit was a shifting, multicolored corridor.
Not quite space.
Not quite time.
The Time Machine did not travel to a fixed future.
It crossed countless parallel timelines toward a locked coordinate.
Progress indicator:
32%.
Each percent advanced roughly every five seconds.
Energy consumption matched Bulma's calculations.
A twenty-year jump consumed approximately twenty percent of a single energy core.
Bulma had prepared one hundred cores.
Energy was not an issue.
Still—
As Vegeta stared into the infinite expanse beyond the hull—
A rare feeling crept into his heart.
Powerlessness.
Without the Time Machine, even his current strength would be crushed by the raw forces of this domain.
No bones left behind.
In later eras, beings would walk freely through such realms.
That gap—
Was enormous.
Vegeta narrowed his eyes.
One day—
He would not need a machine.
The progress climbed.
Forty percent.
Fifty.
The future awaited.
