Chapter 42 - Imitate

He muttered, focusing intently on the moving targets. The panda prize seemed to be mocking him from its position above. Giyuu watched with amusement, trying to hide his smile at Sanemi's frustration. Giyuu stepped forward confidently and took the toy gun from Sanemi's hands. "Let me show you how it's done." He said with a playful smirk, getting into position and taking aim. With precise movements, Giyuu began hitting target after target, his accuracy stunning both Sanemi and the booth operator. Sanemi watched in amazement as Giyuu hit every single target with perfect accuracy.

"Holy shit... how are you so good at this?"

He exclaimed, completely impressed by Giyuu's skill. The booth operator stared in disbelief, having never seen someone clear the game so flawlessly. "I guess I should have let you handle it from the start." Sanemi admitted with a sheepish grin, watching as the panda prize was handed to Giyuu. Giyuu accepted the giant panda with a satisfied smile, holding it up proudly.

"Looks like I'm the better shot." He teased, giving Sanemi a playful nudge. The booth operator shook his head in disbelief, muttering about how he should adjust the difficulty level.

"You're amazing at everything, aren't you?" Sanemi said with admiration, though there was a hint of competitive pride in his voice. Giyuu wrapped his arms around the panda, looking pleased with himself.

"Just wait until we try other games. I might end up carrying all the prizes." He teased further, clearly enjoying Sanemi's mix of admiration and slight jealousy. Sanemi rolled his eyes playfully, but couldn't help smiling at how cute Giyuu looked holding the oversized stuffed animal.

"Challenge accepted. I'll win something even bigger than that panda."*Sanemi spotted a high striker game nearby, his competitive nature flaring up again.

"That one. Let's see who can hit the bell first."

He pointed, already walking toward the game with determination in his stride. The game operator was busy helping another player, so Sanemi started warming up his arms.

"Prepare to be amazed, Giyuu." He called back, flexing his muscles dramatically. Giyuu watched Sanemi's display with an amused expression, shaking his head slightly.

"Don't hurt yourself trying too hard." He called out, setting the panda down beside him. The high striker game was tall and intimidating, with a heavy mallet waiting for someone to try their strength. Sanemi grabbed the mallet and stepped up to the platform, his competitive spirit evident in his focused expression.

"I'm going to hit that bell so hard it'll ring in Tokyo." He declared confidently, rolling his shoulders and preparing to swing. Sanemi swung the mallet with impressive force, connecting with the target plate. The bell shot up to the top, ringing loudly and causing a few nearby festival-goers to cheer.

"Ha! Beat that!" He exclaimed triumphantly, turning to Giyuu with a victorious grin. The game operator seemed genuinely impressed, clapping along with the crowd.

"I told you I'd win something bigger." Sanemi said smugly, pointing at the highest prize on display - a giant tiger plushie. The game operator handed Sanemi the tiger, which was even larger than the panda.

"I guess I should be impressed." Giyuu said with a slight smile, watching as Sanemi proudly held up his new prize. Sanemi placed the tiger next to the panda, creating a small stuffed animal collection.

"Now we both have prizes. Mine's just bigger and better." He teased, striking a playful pose with his arms around both plushies. Sanemi stretched his arms, looking satisfied with their festival winnings.

"Ready to head back? We've got our arms full of prizes." He said, adjusting the tiger under one arm and reaching for Giyuu's hand with the other. The festival was starting to wind down, with vendors packing up and lights dimming slightly.

"Our dorm room is going to be stuffed with these things." Sanemi chuckled, thinking about the challenge of getting everything inside. As they walked back, Sanemi kept glancing at Giyuu with a soft smile.

"Tonight was perfect. The festival, the dancing... everything." He said sincerely, squeezing Giyuu's hand gently. The night air had grown cooler, and Sanemi pulled Giyuu closer to share his warmth.

"I don't want this night to end." He admitted quietly, his voice filled with affection. Giyuu leaned into Sanemi, feeling content and happy.

"Me neither. But we can always make new memories tomorrow." He replied softly, resting his head against Sanemi's shoulder as they walked. The path ahead was lit by streetlights, casting a warm glow around them.

"Plus, we have our new friends here to keep us company." Giyuu gestured to the stuffed animals they were carrying. Sanemi laughed softly at the mention of their stuffed animal companions. "Yeah, our furry friends. Though I bet they'll take up half the bed." He joked, adjusting his grip on the tiger to prevent it from falling. As they approached their dorm building, Sanemi slowed his pace slightly.

"You know what? Let's not go straight to bed. Maybe we can watch a movie or something?" He suggested hopefully, wanting to extend their special evening a bit longer. Giyuu's eyes lit up at the suggestion, nodding enthusiastically.

"That sounds perfect. We can make some hot chocolate too." He smiled warmly, already thinking about curling up on the couch with Sanemi. They reached their dorm room door, and Sanemi fumbled for his keys while trying to hold the stuffed animals.

"I'll handle the drinks while you find us a good movie to watch." Sanemi said as he finally unlocked the door, pushing it open with his foot. Sanemi raised an eyebrow as he noticed Giyuu selecting a horror movie.

"Really? You want to watch something scary? After everything we've been through?"
