Evelin's POV
Jimmy's mouth softly captured my tears, tasting their salty essence.
My warm tears dampened his cool lips, leaving behind a bitter-sweet flavor that lingered between us.
I wondered if he was thinking my tears were for him. I remembered how he used to jolt awake from nightmares about our breakup, consumed by anguish. As he watched my tears now, a flicker of relief seemed to cross his face, as if my sorrow was somehow dissolving his own pain.
I gazed up at Jimmy through my tear-blurred vision, my voice barely a whisper. "I..."
Before I could utter another sound, his mouth crashed against mine, stunning me into silence and devouring whatever words I'd planned to speak.
My eyes widened in disbelief, staring at Jimmy mere inches away—he was actually kissing me, here and now.
Wait, is Jimmy really kissing me? I thought, completely stunned.
This marked the first time since our reunion that Jimmy had initiated anything—he was finally making the first move.
