Claire's hair stood on end. Allen's presence clearly mortified her.
She appeared as though he could crush her effortlessly at any second.
The surrounding crowd shivered without warning, studying Allen's icy expression.
They wondered, 'How could Mr. Samson, such a genius, be involved in an affair?'
Grey planned to speak a few words to lighten the mood. He hadn't anticipated Claire dragging Allen into this chaos.
He couldn't risk offending Allen, whose power in Bonnie City far exceeded theirs.
He began, "Mr. Samson, my sister is simply..."
Grey had barely started when another voice interrupted, "Who dares to defame my niece?"
At the sound, I spun around sharply, spotting Haward Rory walking into the press conference with Jimmy Hamilton beside him.
I hurried to Haward, questioning, "Uncle Haward, what brings you here?"
"Child, why didn't you inform me about your divorce today?" Haward regarded me with a scolding look.
