Jasmin's POV
The silence that stretched after my declaration was so thick I could practically taste it in the air.
Alpha Mateo's hand froze against his jaw, his contemplative stroking coming to an abrupt halt. Alpha Parker sank deeper into his chair, releasing a controlled breath through his nostrils while his face remained a mask of neutrality.
"No recordings then?" I questioned, letting my head tilt slightly as my gaze swept from Hardy to Matthew before settling back on the instructors. "No witnesses except those present in this chamber? That makes everything mere conjecture, doesn't it? And if we're playing that particular game, I'd rather my side of the story be told completely."
Hardy's body language betrayed his growing anxiety. Matthew kept his eyes anywhere but on me, working his cheek between his teeth as if he could chew away the pathetic sounds he'd made moments earlier.
