Jasmin's POV
Time stopped.
My breath caught in my throat.
My mind went blank.
Then I moved.
"Someone grab this bastard!" Matthew barked.
My fist buried itself deep in Hardy's gut. I twisted hard, then slammed his face straight down into the concrete floor. A wolf lunged for my arm. I grabbed him and hurled him over my shoulder into the broken shelving unit behind us. My claws, half-shifted and razor sharp, found flesh. Blood sprayed across the walls. Another tried to wrap his arms around my throat from behind. My elbow drove backward, cracking ribs. He dropped, howling.
They stopped being wolves in that moment.
They became nothing but prey.
Hardy's mouth split open under my knuckles. My boot connected with his ribs again and again and again. I felt no exhaustion. No pain. Only this consuming, intoxicating hunger to cause damage.
He wanted to destroy me?
I would teach him the true meaning of destruction.
