The moment Soresguard made contact with the Entity, he'd activated one of the conditions needed to use his ability.
For a brief moment, nothing happened.
Then the air changed.
Soresguard's eyes narrowed, his fingers tightening against the Entity's flesh. "Got you."
The Entity shrieked, a deep, guttural sound that shook the cavern.
Its wings flared, but they didn't rise. They slammed downward with a thunderous boom, cracking the ground beneath the Entity. Its enormous body suddenly dropped several inches as though an invisible hand had seized it and forced it toward the earth.
The Entity struggled, its talons dug into the stone. Cracks spread outward beneath its feet.
Soresguard's expression remained grim. "Stay down."
The gravity around the Entity intensified.
Its entire body was being crushed beneath an invisible weight.
The four wings that had moments ago filled the cavern with a storm of feathers were now pinned against its back.
The Entity screeched and thrashed.
