Growing up, Haley's grandfather had been a firm believer of 'never go to bed' angry. Whenever Haley and her sisters had had a disagreement, her grandfather had made sure that nobody got a wink of sleep until the matter was resolved.
Even as an adult, Haley still practiced that, especially in personal relationships. Technically she and Roth were in a business relationship, which meant she could stay mad at him for as long as she wanted. But Haley still would have loved to not go to sleep angry at him. Not for his sake but for her own.
But as she lay in bed that night (which was really early morning, since it was a few minutes past midnight), Haley realised something.
