Sallie's POV
Jill shot a panicked look at the shell-shocked Webster. "What happens now? If the cops discover Sallie staged her own kidnapping, they'll slap her with filing a false report."
"A fine's one thing, but they could haul her off to jail. That'll destroy her reputation completely." Jill's voice cracked, tears threatening to spill. "Sallie, you acted without thinking. Now what?"
Webster snapped back to reality, wrapping his arms around Jill. "She dug her own grave. Don't waste your sympathy on her."
Jill shook her head fiercely. "Sallie's never warmed up to me, but I can't watch her suffer like this."
"If word gets out about her arrest, it'll damage the company, hurt our parents, drag us all down. I won't let that happen."
Her grip tightened on Webster's hand. "Should we call Kevin? He might know how to fix this mess."
Webster swallowed his rage and gave a curt nod. "I'll call him right now."
