Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Echoes of a Dream

The alarm ringed again as always.

Ren's hand rose half-asleep from under the blanket, searching for the alarm without opening his eyes.

When the noise finally stopped, He stayed still for a moment, staring at the faint cracks on the ceiling.

Ren sat up slowly, sweat sticking his hair to his forehead. The same fragments haunted him every night — flashes of light, a voice calling his name, and something else… something buried in static.

Ren (muttering)→"again. Another night, same dream."

He rubbed his face, trying to shake it off.

"It's just a dream," he whispered. "as always. Just that dream"

The city outside his window was calm. Morning fog drifted between buildings, the faint hum of traffic echoing below. Everything looked normal. But to Ren, that normal atmosphere felt fragile — like glass that could shatter any moment.

At school, nothing changed.

The teacher droned on about equations. Classmates whispered and laughed. Ren stared at his notebook, pencil unmoving. He didn't even notice the bell ring.

"Ren, you good?" someone asked — a classmate, waving a hand in front of his face.

"Yeah," Ren lied, forcing a smile. "Didn't sleep much."

They shrugged and left, leaving him alone in the nearly empty room.

The sunlight hit his desk at an angle, warm and golden, yet something about it felt distant — like he didn't quite belong to the world around him anymore.

He caught his reflection faintly in the window glass. For a split second, it moved differently — a half-second delay. His breath caught, but when he blinked, it was gone.

On the walk home, the air was oddly quiet. Even the usual chatter of crows had faded.

He turned the corner near the bridge — and stopped.

There, standing by the railing, was a man he hadn't seen in months.

His uncle, Kael.

The older man smiled softly when he saw him. "Hey, Ren. It's Been a while."

Ren blinked. "Uncle Kael? What are you doing here?"

"Just… visiting old places." His tone was calm, too calm. "How's you doing?"

Ren hesitated. "…Fine, I guess. I've just been having these… weird dreams."

Kael chuckled quietly. "Dreams, huh? You know, sometimes dreams aren't just dreams. Sometimes they're reminders."

"Reminders of what?"

Kael looked up at the sky, his expression unreadable. "Things you're not supposed to forget."

The words hung in the air, heavy, before Kael turned and started walking away.

"Wait—what do you mean by that?"

Kael waved without looking back. "Go home, Ren. Rest. You'll understand someday."

Ren stood there, the fading sound of Kael's footsteps echoing against the quiet street.

When he got home.

"Oh you came back." His mom said "Mr.kael visited a while ago."

Ren→"huh. But I just came back from meeting him."

His mom→ "it might be after he left. He left u a gift in that box on the table."

Ren went to the table saying "what might it be? Why did he brought something. He have done too much for us" when he opened it. It was a nackles with a small crystal.

Ren→ "mom. It's a nackles he gifted me."

"Good for you" his mom said " don't forget to thank him tomorrow."

"Yess" ren said.

That night, he couldn't rest.

The voice from the dream wouldn't leave him alone.

When sleep finally took him, it hit like a storm.

He was standing in a vast empty field under a colorless sky. Shadows twisted around him — whispering, pulling. And somewhere in that chaos, a light flickered, almost human-shaped.

"You need to find them..."

The voice was clearer this time — desperate, almost pleading.

"…before.... before°^^₹@₹+_!."

Ren's eyes widened. "Who are you?!"

The light reached toward him — and before he could react, everything fractured.

A blinding flash.

A sound like thunder breaking apart time itself.

Ren shot up in bed, gasping, his sheets drenched in sweat. His heart pounded as he looked around — his room was the same. But that nackles was glowing faintly.

He didn't know anything yet,

but that glow was the beginning of everything.
