The sky was blood red that day as if heavens abandoned the world. The city engulfed in the flames the buildings were in crumples a state of unrepairable. Corpse loitered and burnt endlessly with created a smell unrecognizable to the current knowledge of the world. Rubbles scattered everywhere at random, splattered blood which soaked long ago.
"Hel...p" a faint voice murmured in the distance
"Someone help...me" The voice cried out again but this time more clear, it was a women in her mid 30s her clothes in tatter, scar on her arms and legs, her former elegant dress now only a dirty rag devoured in mud and blood. On her body there were several places from where blood spilled which apparently dried long ago, maybe its no longer than a hour or so. There were large rocks on top of her, her legs were crushed beneath the rocks.
The atmosphere was grim and hollow, no ears to hear her voice, no helping hand to lend her, no voice to comfort her only her and the lonely environment. Then where the crumbled buildings were a man in a hood strode toward the woman, at first she thought hope had arrived but her misconception revealed itself soon. The man stopped front of her and kneeled and unveiled his hood revealing his face in the next scene the women's face became pale. Her expression appeared to be a mix of horror and frustration.
"You bastard I'll kill just you wait!" The women screamed abnormally top of her lungs

Before she could finish her sentence the man pulled a dragger and slit her throat. Following he pulled her one of her eyes which had a faint life then it subdued.
"Ah! What a beautiful scenario, truly a exquisite sight to behold!!" The man laughed manically as he lay down on the ground.
On the distant flame breathing dragons engulfed the city creating chaotic situation. Despite the chaotic situation he fell asleep quite easily.
3 years before the catalyst,
"Luciel how the hell did the Ironhawl favored over our family!!!" A man in his mid 40s with blue eyes, wore a black robe with lightning pattern and a black pants slammed on the table.
"Luciel are you listening I'm talking to you!" the man shouted in a agitated voice as he glanced at the boy with silver hair, golden eyes, he wore azure arcane robes with white dragon patterns who seem unfocused and fidgeting.
'Where am I? if i remember correctly last night after shutting down my computer i went straight to the bed' The boy thought inwardly
'Luciel? is that supposed to be me?'
'If I remember correctly this scene seem familiar, yeah its the opening act of "The Throne Of Abyss"!' Kim jinho recalled
"Luciel? are you okay son?" This time the man appeared worried and asked in a concerned tone
'So I transmigrated as Luciel Reyfort and he's my father'
"Yes father I'm okay, its just i didn't get enough sleep last night" Jinho decided to play his part as Luciel and answered politely.
"!" As Luciel had done with his answer the man who appeared to be his father his expression drastically change as if he saw a ghost
"Son? Did you eat something wrong last night" The man hurriedly stood from his seat and asked Luciel shaking his shoulder in abnormal way. Which was expected as originally Luciel was a asshole and rude. He didn't gave respect to anyone not even once since his mothers death.
"Father calm down I'm okay, if you excuse I got to attend to that matter."
Luciel decided to get away from this situation as he was not good with these kind of atmosphere. When he was half-way to the main gate of the mansion his father Gillard called out .
"Oh i forgot to tell you, in the evening the instructor from the academy would visit us" Gillard shouted
"Got it father"
'So its already starting, its just horrible why did I have to transmigrate as the background character who is supposed to die'
'God must hate me fuckk!' Luciel complained inwardly
Luciel then went to the black heist forest 2km from the mansion. The reason was simple he needed to acquire a certain item no matter what if he delayed it might get taken. It was the essence of purity a SSS grade item which would increase his talent from a F grade to A. As a background character Luciel had the worst stats. Talent is important as it helps a person to learn skill faster than average. In the future if he were to get a high skill and not able to learn it would put Luciel in a tough spot.

Luciel ventured deep inside the forest as he received the quest. Soon enough bustling noise came from the bush from the front.
'Guess it'll be easy, but i don't have any battle experience would i be alright?' Luciel gulped down as he pondered.
In the dark eight red eyes glowed furiously and then something shoot Luciel but he managed to dodged it at the last second. It was a spike needle made from spider web aside from that green liquid spilled out as it hit the nearby tree.
From the bush a spider size of a bull appeared, its eight hand had claws, from its mouth poison continuously spilled on the ground as it noticed Luciel it screeched
"That's poison! if I had gotten hit by that I'm not sure if i was moving now" Luciel laughed wryly as he took his stance.
"Pitch Slash!" Luciel roared as he channeled mana into his palm a black swirling aura engulfed his arm following that it formed like a fireball.
"I don't know how it works but i guess i gotta throw it like a fireball by its shape and appearance"
Luciel raised his arm all the way up then twisted his wrist to a position best to shoot
At the same time the beast charged at Luciel furiously
When dark orb left Luciel hands it divided into tens of pieces and formed like a couple of spikes and shot at the beast. The spikes pinned the beast in the ground which it easily broke through
When the beast was struggling Luciel had prepared couple of black orbs in advance and gotten the hand of the spell. Now he could form desired shaped.
He was almost out of mana and it was his last bits of it and he counted his all into this one spell.
He like previous raised his arm the black aura engulfing his palm but this time he manipulated the mana which costed extra mana. He formed the black orb into a sharp object hardened it.
"Die you fucking piece of shit!!!" Luciel shouted top of his lungs as he shot the spell toward the beast.
