The sky was overcast when Lian Al-Hashemi walked out of the university building, holding her files tightly as if afraid that something more than papers would fall out… something from her dreams. She stopped suddenly when she bumped into the shoulder of a man walking in a hurry, scattering her papers on the ground. He said in a cold tone, "Be careful where you're going. The world isn't free for your little mistakes." She raised her eyes to him, meeting the gaze of Rayan Al-Asi—the young man everyone knew for his wealth and arrogance. She pulled herself together and said calmly, "And you, you should look ahead before speaking like that." Silence fell for a few seconds, with only strained breathing and the sound of the rain that had begun to fall lightly. Something in his eyes drew her in, a mixture of arrogance and astonishment… As for him, he didn't know that this fleeting collision would be the first spark in a war between two hearts and two families.
