Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Journey Through the Pokémon World

The Hoenn region is renowned for its diverse ecosystems, ranging from deserts to tropical rainforests, vast oceans, and volcanic areas. These environments have nurtured a wide variety of Pokémon, collectively forming Hoenn's unique ecological zone.

Among its most striking features is the extensive waterway network, which connects the eastern and western extremes of Hoenn. This vast body of water is even more expansive than the land area, creating a stark contrast with other regions. The sea is dotted with islands of various sizes, teeming with rich resources and diverse Pokémon.

On an island in the southwest, the presence of Granite Cave—a cave that produces abundant rock and steel-type Pokémon resources—encouraged people to settle there, eventually developing into a sizable town like Dewford Town. Located on a crucial waterway route and blessed with excellent Pokémon resources, Dewford Town gradually prospered.

Later, due to its strategic location and the threat from illegal maritime forces led by Team Aqua, which severely endangered Dewford Town's safety, the Pokémon League dispatched skilled Trainers to establish a Gym there. This served to protect Dewford Town and Granite Cave, while also attracting Trainers to challenge the Gym, further promoting the town's development.

In Great Terra, where everyone dreams of adventure, our protagonist, Ethan, finds himself in an unusual yet fortuitous situation. Originally a modern young man, Ethan spent most of his time playing games and watching anime.

One day, while walking down the street, humming a tune and looking at his phone, he suddenly found himself struck by a truck! Who could have foreseen such a bizarre twist?

In a dizzying spin, Ethan found himself plummeting from the sky into the sea. Before he could even register the 'ding' sound in his mind, he was engulfed by wave after wave. Though Ethan was not a swimmer, fate—or perhaps the destiny of all travelers—ensured he did not drown. Instead, he was washed ashore on an island.

Having narrowly escaped death, Ethan managed to expel the seawater from his stomach, coughing violently before finally opening his eyes to survey his surroundings. Above him, blue and white Wingull landed on the beach, curiously observing the bedraggled newcomer without fear. Behind him, the vast azure sea stretched endlessly, with red-scaled Magikarp occasionally leaping out, their dull eyes seemingly mocking all who watched.

Ethan's mind stalled momentarily. Given his surroundings, it seemed he had somehow traveled to the Pokémon world. This realization banished his aches, and he dashed toward the Wingulls, his excitement unchecked even by a fall.

As a lifelong Pokémon enthusiast, Ethan couldn't contain his excitement. "Wingull! I'm here to catch you!" he shouted, fulfilling a childhood dream of catching Pokémon, traveling, and battling strong opponents.

The Wingulls, unimpressed by this seemingly clueless human, gave him a disdainful glance. Without food to lure them or a Poké Ball in sight, Ethan's attempt seemed futile. The Wingull, seeing no gain from this encounter, prepared to leave, leaving Ethan stunned.

"Wait, Wingull!" he cried, but his attempt to catch it only resulted in a few pecks from the Wingull's attack, leaving him battered.

Realizing his inadequacy against wild Pokémon, Ethan sighed and abandoned his naive plan of capturing Pokémon through brute force. After all, not everyone starts as a seasoned trainer.

Calming down, Ethan assessed his situation. His clothes were the same as before the accident, indicating a physical rather than spiritual transfer to this world—hardly good news, as it meant he had no identity here, no past, making him a "black household" with no assistance, starting entirely from scratch.

Checking his belongings, Ethan found his phone destroyed during the accident, though it wouldn't have been much use in this world. He noted that he appeared younger, around eighteen, compared to before.

Though he had nothing of value, Ethan considered himself both unlucky and lucky—unlucky for being hit by a truck, but lucky to have transmigrated and received a system.

That 'ding' sound wasn't a mere dying hallucination; Ethan indeed possessed the legendary System. His spirits soared with this realization—armed with the System, he felt invincible.

While imagining his bright future, a stern voice interrupted, "Who are you? Why are you here?" Before Ethan could react, he was restrained and handcuffed. His dream of dominating the Pokémon world had met an unexpected setback right on the first day.
