Chapter 9 - 9: Ultimate Jason, The Hidden Force Behind

The elderly Tommy was cleaning his hunting rifle when he sensed Damon's gaze and turned his head.

His eyes were weathered, filled with fatigue.

"Young man, if I were you, I'd leave this place immediately. Run as far as you can—Crystal Lake is nothing like the idyllic place the internet makes it out to be."

Tommy glanced at Madison and Maria trailing behind Damon, paused, and said with weight:

"Especially for people like you."

"There's an immortal vengeful spirit sealed here. It could appear anywhere nearby at any moment."

"Believe me, you absolutely do not want to meet it!"

Damon keenly noticed a mix of hatred and fear when Tommy spoke of "it."

This wasn't merely describing a malevolent spirit—it was the kind of terrifying existence akin to gods or demons.

Even War God Tommy feared Jason?

"Strange old man, even an eight-year-old wouldn't believe that."

Madison, bold and confident, didn't trust a frail old man at all.

Tommy smiled faintly, his tone oddly deliberate:

"Kids, of course, won't be afraid. It doesn't harm children—it waits until they grow up, and then harvests them one by one!"

Maria shrank slightly, sensing a cold presence.

A voice in her head urged: Run!

It wasn't a sixth sense—it was another version of herself: Airam.

For the first time, Airam was communicating with her without a mirror.

"Damon, Madison… maybe we should move somewhere else?"

Maria tugged on Damon's sleeve, her voice fragile: "I feel… a little unwell. My head's dizzy."

Her pale face flushed slightly from lying.

Hearing this, Damon instinctively checked Maria's status panel.

After recording anomalous objects, Damon could now alter their personal attributes.

He had also recorded their abilities into his "cheat system," able to transfer them to himself at will.

Maria provided an ability called "Dark Persona," capable of producing a rational, cold-hearted dark personality.

In crises, this dark persona could resist most negative effects and unleash nearly all physical strength.

Madison offered Damon two things: a skill and a talent: Telekinesis and Wizard Bloodline (Madison).

Both required no skill slots and could become instinctive within Damon's body.

He now possessed the same exceptional wizard potential as Madison and had successfully awakened magical power, capable of learning spells from the Marvel-Horror universe.

Madison's magical aptitude was formidable, even in the horror universe.

So powerful that the current Supreme Witch Fiona viewed her as a threat.

Believing Madison would overshadow her, Fiona killed her before the next Supreme Witch selection ceremony, The Seven Wonders.

With the same talent, Damon could also master the Seven Wonders with ease.

Of course, he'd need to study at a witch school first.

Though the Marvel-Horror universe wasn't as developed as Marvel's, its depth was immense.

Most people were fragile, but they played with resurrection, time reversal, and teleportation.

Even in the Marvel world, these abilities would be considered overpowered.

Damon didn't notice anything abnormal while checking Maria's status and didn't switch her to the dark Airam persona.

But in the 3D overlay map, he saw a massive red dot enter the 700-alert radius.

Zooming in, he saw a muscular man covered in steel armor on half his body, wearing Jason's iconic hockey mask and wielding a large machete, walking in their direction.

[Anomalous object detected — Killer Jason, 100 anomaly points obtained.]

"Is this… Space Jason X?"

Damon raised an eyebrow. Good grief—he's already the final form!

Jason moved fast. Though he appeared to be walking, each step equaled two for an ordinary person.

Not only that, he could teleport!

This is a classic Evil Jason ability—appearing suddenly in the least expected places, shocking anyone nearby.

"Damn it, move!"

At this moment, Tommy suddenly grew agitated, his gaze constantly roaming.

"I can sense its aura. There's no mistake—it's him!"

"It's… back!"

Maria was confused, while Madison grew increasingly irritated:

"Can you just be clear? Don't you know the Riddler's the most cursed?"

Tommy didn't answer. His sharp gaze was like that of a veteran warrior, full of deadly intent.

"It's Jason. An evil spirit."

Damon looked to his right, explaining to Madison without turning his head:

"The evil spirit is approaching. Tommy, how many times has Jason resurrected?"

Tommy looked at Damon in surprise, hesitated briefly, then answered honestly:

"Since I first killed Jason at ten years old, he's been resurrected at least ten times."

"And… I suspect someone is deliberately reviving him!"

"I've been stationed at Crystal Lake for ten years, all to find that hidden figure in the shadows."

"But… they seem to have a huge organization, always able to draw me away at crucial moments while secretly studying Jason's power."

Hearing this, Damon's expression grew serious.

It wasn't the evil spirit evolving he feared—it was the fools who thought they could study and harness its power.

People like that usually make evil spirits even more terrifying.

Within a few exchanges, when Damon looked back at Jason, he had already reached the vicinity of the vacation camp.

And there, a man and a woman were in a small grove, indulging in their primal desires.

"Oh~ Carl, there are eighteen more balloons. We need to hurry!"

"Kelly, I'm coming… oh sht! You bastard, can't you see we're in the middle of fun?"

"Carl, forget that jerk, let's continue, fck me!"

"No, I can't, my little bro's scared—please, man, get up! Come on! Damn it! Maybe I'll never be a man!"

"Well then… you be 0, I'll be 1… ah!!!"

"Killing!!!"

"Help!"

The whole vacation camp erupted in chaos.

Everyone screamed and ran outside.

Jason, covered in blood, walked with firm, resolute steps, effortlessly beheading a fitness guy who dared attack him, like slaughtering a pig.

"You all stay here. Don't move around. I'll be back soon."

Damon turned to Madison and Maria and instructed them.

Madison, who had not yet studied at witch school, with her basic telekinesis alone, stood no chance against Jason.

Damon remembered that in the Jason series, there had been a superpowered girl.

After her parents died, she tried every method but could not kill Jason.

In the end, it was her deceased father, returning as a spirit, who dragged Jason into Crystal Lake, barely sealing him.

Madison, initially eager to act, reluctantly nodded at Damon's words.

Maria was about to speak when she noticed something in Damon's right hand.

Sssszzzt!

Arcs of electricity, chaotic like wild hair, danced across his palm.

As Damon clenched his hand, the arcs seemed to organize and contract inward.

A sharp thunderclap fell silent for half a second before erupting into an even sharper, piercing, and penetrating screech—like countless birds of prey screaming in unison.

Madison was surprised. Another new ability!

How many types of magic could Damon possibly wield?

"This… this is…"

Maria felt her worldview shatter. Her best friend was… a superhero?

"This is… Chidori!"

Damon raised his right palm. The violent lightning was constrained within the small space of his hand, converging into a high-energy spherical object.

It carried terrifying power, enough to tear steel.

The pure blue lightning not only disoriented Tommy, who raised his gun, but even Jason was drawn toward the light.

The merciless red glow seemed entirely subdued by the lightning.

In the next instant,

Damon vanished.

Jason blinked—and then saw the astonished eyes of Tommy and the others.

Jason realized… Damon was behind him!

Boom!!
