I bolted upright from my chair, fury blazing through me as I stared her down. "This is none of your business."
"Actually, I think it is my business. You and that unknown man sneaking around the medical wing triggered everything that happened. Even Michael getting injured connects back to your little secret meeting. Don't you think everyone deserves to know the truth?"
My hands balled into fists at my sides.
That manipulative witch.
She was twisting everything to make it sound like I had been unfaithful to Elias when the situation was completely different.
Until this moment, I had been winning. I was so close to exposing her for the calculating, venomous creature she truly was.
Then she played this card, spinning the entire narrative and putting me in the hot seat.
I had no idea Jimmy and I had been recorded. She must have been plotting this move for quite some time.
