"He does not love you anyway so break up!"
The moment these words were uttered, the men in the room frowned and their impression of this woman worsened by leaps and bounds.
This was especially true for Jamie who felt that the woman had gone overboard and it wasn't just her but another face appeared in his mind which further deepened his frown.
Just as he was about to speak up in Demi's favor, he noticed his friend pick up her phone from the corner of his eye.
Rather than feeling offended or even paying attention to this new woman, Demi focused on her phone for a few seconds as she typed away on it.
Very soon, she tossed the phone aside and directed her attention back to the intruder.
While she did this, their intruder was confused when she received no reaction despite everything she had said by now.
'Is she speechless or just plain stupid?' The intruder wondered as she finally lowered her hand which had been pointing a finger at the woman seated on the couch before her.
Her fierce glare was replaced by a smug smirk when she realized that she had caused the other woman such shock that she had forgotten to react.
"So you think that I should first break off the engagement and then I can cheat on him?" Demi finally responded after a long silence.
Tilting her head to the right, she had a look of confusion in her gaze as she fixed her eyes on the newcomer.
Upon hearing these words, even the newcomer seemed confused and hence did not know how to reply to that question.
"Weren't you the one who said that?" Demi continued, leaning forward as her lips began forming a subtle smile.
By now, the rest of the men in the room felt as though they were missing the point as they could not follow the direction this conversation was going in.
"That I should first break off my engagement before I cheat on my fiance." She repeated the intruder's words from earlier which finally helped the men grasp the point she was trying to make.
"If I do break off my engagement then wouldn't he stop being my fiance? What would then be the point of me cheating on some random man who isn't even related to me??" She added with a lazy grin, staring at the woman who had ruined the rest of her night by her unexpected arrival.
'What kind of nonsense is she spouting!?' Jamie glared at her but very quickly turned towards the new woman whose smug smile reverted to that fierce glare she had earlier.
"Ah ha! So you do have plans of cheating on Big Brother Nico!" She shrieked in anger and stomped her feet on the marbled floor.
Demi and Jamie, who witnessed her acting like a spoiled child when she was easily in her early twenties, both raised their brows in response.
'Is she so close to him to call him by that name?' Jamie wondered but had no intentions of making his doubts known at this moment.
He knew that Demi should be able to handle this spoiled brat so he relaxed on the couch and planned to watch the show from the sidelines.
However, he wasn't given the chance to do so as very soon, a new group of men dressed as bodyguards rushed into their room.
They surrounded the intruder who was startled to see over eight men closing in on her position.
"Lenny? What the hell is he doing here?" The woman mumbled in doubt when she recognized the man who entered last but soon made his way to the front of this group of guards.
The man named Lenny heard his name coming out of her mouth but chose to ignore her and instead, fixed his gaze on the woman seated on the couch among the many men.
His eyes flickered to a certain corner of the private room for just a second before they returned to the woman.
"Sorry for the inconvenience, Miss!" He bowed low to display just how sincere his apology was before shooting a stern look at the men who had come with him.
Understanding what this look meant, the guards who surrounded the intruder wasted no time and grabbed onto her hands, restraining her movements.
Their sudden move made her freeze but very soon she came back to her senses and began struggling to free herself from their clutches.
She had never been treated this way before and to make things worse, they were embarrassing her right in front of the woman she despised so she struggled harder to escape.
Unfortunately for her, her desire to get free only made them use greater force as they made sure that she did not escape their grasp.
Ignoring her frantic actions, they simply held onto her and looked towards their superior, Lenny, awaiting their next instructions.
Before Lenny could give out his next command, the ringing of a phone attracted everyone's attention and they watched as Demi picked up her phone, rolling her eyes when she saw who was calling her.
She simply stared at the name displayed on the screen with a frown, watching it ring in the silent room.
Just when they thought that the call would be disconnected after not being answered for so long, Demi let out an annoyed sigh before finally answering the call.
"What?" She scoffed the moment the call got connected without even bothering to greet the person who had contacted her.
The impatience in her tone made it quite evident for everyone that she disliked whoever was on the other side of the phone.
"Are you satisfied?" A deep masculine voice came through the phone and echoed in the silent private room, allowing everyone to hear what was being said.
Hearing this voice, a few in the room felt their backs stiffen after their initial surprise upon hearing this familiar voice, some others were curious to know who this voice belonged to, and finally, Demi simply rolled her eyes.
The question which was a response to her own question caused another wave of annoyance to wash over her.
"How many times have I told you to keep your toys in check?" She grumbled at the man as she too replied to him with a question of her own.
Reclining on the couch in a lazy posture, she glanced at Lenny who was still bowing towards her and then at the woman being restrained by the guards.
The other woman widened her eyes when she heard the implications behind those words but Demi could care less about how she felt right now.
Instead, she was waiting to hear what this man had to say for himself.
However, rather than hearing a response from him, all she heard was a low chuckle coming from the other side of the phone as though he had somehow expected such a question from her.
