Chapter 101 - Chapter 101: The End of the Sky Island Arc

Chapter 101: The End of the Sky Island Arc

Shandora - The City of Gold

The sound of the Golden Bell still echoed through the sea of clouds, as if turning a four-hundred-year-old legend into today's reality.

Beneath the bell, held aloft by time and vines, the Shandian warriors knelt in silence.

Calloused hands gently touched the golden patterns on the walls, worn by the wind. Every crack felt like the blood and tears of their ancestors, every whisper a testament to their return.

"...Four hundred years," Wiper's voice was hoarse and trembling. "We... finally came back."

Gan Fall stood beside him, his eyes filled with emotion. "From this day on, this place is no longer a battlefield for us to fight over. It is our shared home."

The people of Angel Island also walked into the legendary city.

They whispered in awe, staring at the ancient walls and statues made of pure gold.

"This gold... it must be worth more than the entire wealth of Skypiea..."

"A thousand-year-old treasure..."

Just then, Gan Fall turned and walked solemnly toward Roy, bowing deeply. "Mr. Roy, please, take some of the gold of Shandora with you!"

His voice was sincere. "It is not just a thank you gift, but a symbol of our respect and trust!"

Wiper nodded firmly. "If not for you, we Shandians might never have set foot in the Holy Land."

Everyone looked at Roy. This was the joint acknowledgment of all Skypieans and Shandians, the first time in history the wealth of Shandora was offered to a Blue Sea dweller.

But Roy just smiled and waved his hand. "No need for the gold."

He lazily pushed Luffy's hand off his back as he spoke. "That's your sacred relic. If I take it... I might get cursed, you know?"

"However..."

He rubbed his chin. "Skypiea's specialties are interesting. Breath Dials, Tone Dials, Impact Dials... taking some of those back for research would be nice."

Luffy immediately raised his hand and shouted, "And meat! Sky Island roast meat is delicious!! Can we take a chef back with us?!"

Ace shoved his head down. "Shut up! A chef is a person, not meat!"

Everyone froze, then burst into laughter. The air was filled with an unprecedented lightness and warmth.

A moment later, Roy warped everyone back to Angel Island.

When Gan Fall and Wiper realized what had happened, their faces went pale again. "Wait..."

Gan Fall looked at Roy in shock. "Did you just... teleport all of us... from Shandora... back here?!"

Wiper looked down at the Angel Island plaza beneath his feet, disbelief written all over his face. "That's over ten kilometers! And with this many people... you aren't even tired..."

They exchanged a look, a new, indescribable awe in their eyes.

"Mr. Roy's power... is far beyond our imagination," Gan Fall whispered.

Wiper took a deep breath and nodded silently.

After the celebration, the next day.

Kuina, Zoro, and Law packed up the Skypiean specialties, while Ace and Luffy each carried a huge bag of Sky Island food, ready to say goodbye.

"Mr. Roy, won't you stay a few more days?" Gan Fall asked, reluctant to see them go.

Wiper added, "The celebration for the new Kingdom of God has just begun! You are the heroes!"

Roy shrugged, wearing his usual lazy smile. "You guys just started. You have a mountain of work to do. We'd only get in the way."

"About what I told you last night... I'll send someone to coordinate later."

He paused, his tone softening. "Don't worry. We'll be back. I haven't seen enough of the Sky Island scenery yet."

"Hehe! Next time I'm bringing Nami and the others!" Luffy yelled, waving his arms. "And I wanna eat those sweet fried cloud-buns!"

"You..." Ace facepalmed, sighing, but he couldn't hide his smile.

As they were saying their goodbiess, Roy suddenly smirked, as if remembering something trivial. "Oh~ by the way. I took Enel with me, too."

"W-What?!"

Gan Fall and Wiper shouted in unison, stunned. The Divine Soldiers and Shandian warriors stared, wide-eyed.

After a moment of shock, the plaza erupted in a tsunami of cheers!

"YES!! That demon is gone!"

"We never have to worry about lightning punishment again!"

"We're really free!!!"

The cheers were mixed with tears of relief. The fear that had weighed on their hearts for years was finally gone.

Gan Fall's eyes were red. He stepped forward and bowed deeply. "Mr. Roy... the people of Skypiea... will never forget your kindness!"

Roy waved him off casually. "Alright, alright, don't make it sound like a funeral. I don't need offerings~"

Everyone chuckled.

He waved his sleeve and turned toward the warship docked at the cloud's edge, cutting a dashing figure in the sunlight.

"Let's go, brats!"

"YEAH!!!"

Ace, Luffy, Zoro, Kuina, and Law responded in unison, their voices ringing clear in the high altitude air.

The sails filled with wind, and the ship sailed into the sea of clouds. The golden light of the horizon bathed the warship in warmth.

Luffy leaned over the railing, watching Skypiea recede into the distance. "Bye-bye! Sky Island! I'll come back to visit!!"

Ace stood behind him, hands in his pockets, grinning. "Next time we come back, I hope there aren't any more 'Gods' or whatever."

Zoro leaned against the mast, eyes closed. Kuina stood quietly beside him. Law leaned on the railing, reading a medical book, as if everything was back to normal.

Roy stood at the bow, gazing at the horizon, murmuring with a smile, "Not a bad haul this time."

Warship - The Brig

Click—

The heavy alloy door slowly opened, a beam of harsh light cutting into the dim room.

It was damp and quiet, save for the low hum of the ship and the clinking of chains.

In the center, a figure was securely locked into a heavy, custom-made chair—Enel.

He was scorched, his hair a mess, his pants tattered. His limbs were wrapped in thick Seastone chains, his hands cuffed high behind his back, his ankles shackled to the chair's base.

But even in this state, his face still held a look of unbelievable arrogance.

Seeing the group enter, the madness in his eyes burned again. He looked up, his voice hoarse but furious. "You Blue Sea insects!! How dare you imprison God?!!"

"I am God!! I am Lightning!! I am the absolute ruler!!!"

"Release me! Or I will make you—"

He stopped abruptly.

Ace was leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed. Luffy was munching on roast meat, looking innocently curious. Kuina and Zoro both had their hands on their sword hilts. Law had quietly taken a half-step back.

All five of them looked at Roy, who was standing at the front.

A vein was pulsing on Roy's forehead. Several veins, actually. He was still smiling, but the aura radiating from him was terrifying.

Roy walked toward Enel, his voice as gentle as a spring breeze. "Oh? What did you say you were again?"

Enel looked haughty. "I said—I am God!"

"Good. Very good. Very spirited!"

Roy nodded, his smile remaining, but behind it lurked a chilling, "merciful judgment."

"Law."

"Here."

"Get your medical kit. And find a small island nearby."

"Understood." Law immediately complied, opening his kit and pulling out a giant syringe, the liquid inside sloshing ominously.

When Enel saw the syringe, which was thicker than his arm, his face went pale.

"Wh-what are you doing?! I don't need your treatment!! I-I am God!! I am GOD!!!"

He struggled frantically, the Seastone chains rattling, his face draining of color.

"Stay back! STAY BACK—!!!"

After Law handed the prepared kit to Roy, the five silently exited the room.

Click.

The door closed gently, cutting off Enel's screaming.

They walked away, leaving the muffled, yet distinct, screams echoing in the corridor of the warship.

The ship sailed calmly over the sea of clouds. The sky was clear, the Thunder God was silent, and the island faded into the distance.

And a certain "God" was experiencing a "human education."
