Night - Warship Recreation Room
Soft light illuminated the table, where steaming cups of tea sat among samples of Sky Island Dials and exotic snacks. The atmosphere was relaxed and warm.
"These Dials are amazing!" Luffy yelled, waving his arms. "They can shoot wind, store impacts, and even record voices! If we put these on a ship, it would be awesome!"
Ace leaned back in his chair, chewing on a piece of dried cloud-fruit. "And the Sky Fish is really tender and juicy. Better than the fish in the Blue Sea."
"Sky Island is incredible," Zoro said, arms crossed. But his tone darkened. "But that girl, Conis... she looked terrified when she mentioned 'Enel.'"
Kuina frowned. "And the museum being closed wasn't a coincidence."
"She was vague, but I get the feeling someone is deliberately erasing Skypiea's history."
Law, who had been silent, finally spoke. "There's something wrong with this island."
Everyone looked at him.
Law turned his sharp gaze to Roy. "Judging by Conis's reaction, 'Enel's' control over Skypiea is far beyond what we estimated."
"The 'entry fee' demanded by the White Berets wasn't just about money. It was a screening process."
"Screening?" Ace asked.
"To identify anyone who might threaten their rule," Law said calmly. "And the fact that we were 'let in'... was probably intentional."
Kuina nodded. "I felt it too. Conis approached us, but her eyes weren't welcoming... they were worried."
"Oh?" Roy leaned back, half-closing his eyes. "What kind of problem do you think there is?"
"Big Bro Roy," Law looked him in the eye. "You already noticed, didn't you?"
Roy stretched lazily and grinned. "Don't be so tense. You'll find out soon enough."
"Huh? What are you guys talking about?" Luffy looked confused.
Ace scratched his head but didn't ask.
"Hmph. Whatever comes, I'll cut it," Zoro grunted, closing his eyes.
The night deepened, and outside, the clouds churned. An unusual adventure was about to begin.
The Next Day - Angel Island Entrance
Morning light pierced the clouds, illuminating the path.
The group stepped onto the island again.
However, as soon as they arrived, a familiar figure was waiting.
Conis stood there, hands clasped, smiling. But her smile was strained, as if she were holding back a scream.
"Good morning, everyone," she said, bowing slightly.
Kuina noticed the panic in her eyes. "Miss Conis... were you waiting for us?"
"Yes..." Conis nodded, forcing a smile. "I wanted to take you to the 'Trial of God.' It's... the most spectacular sight on Skypiea."
"Trial?" Luffy's eyes lit up. "Sounds exciting!"
But Law and Kuina exchanged a glance. Their instincts were screaming: Something is wrong.
Roy just smiled. "Then we're in your hands, Miss Conis."
They followed her down the cloud path. Conis walked slowly, her knuckles white, her dress trembling in the wind.
Kuina couldn't take it anymore. "Miss Conis... are you alright?"
Conis stopped. Her shoulders shook.
Finally, she lowered her head, her voice barely a whisper. "I'm sorry... I can't take you there..."
Everyone froze.
"It's not a sight... it's a killing field..."
She looked up, tears streaming down her face. "If you go there... you'll die..."
The air went cold.
"I... I didn't want to lie to you," she sobbed, collapsing to her knees. "But... the Priests ordered me... If I didn't... my father..."
Just as she confessed—
"BOOM!!!"
The sky roared. A blinding bolt of lightning tore through the clouds, aimed straight at Conis!
"Look out!"
Kuina moved on instinct, tackling Conis out of the way!
The lightning slammed into the cloud-ground where they had just been standing, blasting a charred crater and sending up a cloud of smoke!
As the smoke cleared, a deep, arrogant voice echoed from the sky above Angel Island. "Oh? Surviving 'God's Judgment'?"
They looked up. Floating above the thunderclouds was a figure.
Enel, shirtless, his golden eyes crackling with electricity, his long earlobes swaying. Lightning danced around him like a divine aura.
He looked bored, smiling cruelly, as if all life below him was dust.
"Unexpected... Even you have betrayed God, Conis."
Enel looked down at her, his voice calm but terrifying. "Even a dog knows to obey its master."
Conis went pale, trembling. "No... no... I just... they aren't bad people—"
"Silence!"
Enel's eyes went cold. Lightning gathered at his fingertips.
"Since you have chosen betrayal, you will accept God's judgment along with these Blue Sea ants!"
At that moment, four figures appeared in the sky, surrounding the group!
Ohm, holding his "Iron Cloud" sword.
Shura, on his giant bird, holding a flame lance.
Gedatsu, with his spider-hair, lurking in a Swamp Cloud.
Satori, the round ball-man, dancing on the clouds.
The sky darkened, thunder rolling. The pressure was immense.
Enel spread his arms, golden lightning exploding behind him like a god descending. "Everything in Skypiea belongs to God!"
His voice echoed like a decree.
"Your existence is blasphemy."
"Your breath is a sin."
He raised his hand, lightning dancing on his fingers.
"And I shall purify you myself!"
"RUMBLE!!!"
Before he finished, the lightning roared like a thousand dragons, tearing the sky apart, turning the heavens into a prison of thunder!
At that moment, Roy tilted his head, a mocking smile on his lips. "My, my... don't scare me, 'so-called God'~"
He took a step back, his eyes sharp as knives. He waved his hand, his voice calm but ringing like a war drum. "Brats! Training starts now!"
"FWOOSH!!!"
Five figures exploded into motion behind him!
The storm raged, and the battle for the sky began!
