I finished cleaning myself and went downstairs to look for something to eat but all along I thought I was still alone in the house but I saw Herman laying on the couch and I slowly walked to him but I was getting nearer, he was stinking like hell because he just wasted himself a while ago.
"Hey babe, let's go upstairs and I'll clean you up because you're a mess," I tried lifting up hisbhand but he was in deep sleep and there's no way I could carry him by myself.
I removed his blazer and shirt so that he gets some fresh air…I sat on the other couch opposite him and stared at him just wondering why he allows situations to control him yet we could just talk things over.
I went back upstairs and put his stinking clothes in the machine before changing into my pajamas…I grabbed a small bed cover and went back downstairs to sleep on the couch and watch over him.
In the morning,I was woken up by sun rays and I lightly opened my eyes but to look at the couch where he slept,he wasn't there…I was calling out his name when I saw a note on the table in the centre of the room which read,
"I'm sorry for making you worried but now I'm back to normal and I have gone to work,let's meet in the evening…i love you,"
I curled my lips in a smile because we are now over that issue.
I did my morning routine and headed to work as well.
"Uhm good morning ma'am here is your key to your new office," the receptionist stopped me as I made my way past here.
"Key!!!? I have my keys with me," I replied.
"No ma'am,boss told me to hand you this new key because you will no longer sit in your previous office," she emphasised.
"Oh okay so Where's my new office??" I was entreated.
"Please follow me ma'am," she led the way and I followed behind her.
"This is it ma'am," she gave me the key after opening the door.
"Wait,this is our boss' office right!?? So why the hell did you bring me here??" I frowned.
"Ma'am I was just instructed by my boss and if you look closely there's a new desk over there and that's where you're going to sit and work from…please excuse me," she walked back to her desk.
Okay this is going to get me into another big fight with Herman if he finds out that we are now sharing this office with my boss…dang it.
I put my bag on my new desk and when I looked closely,I realised that they had shifted all my staff from the previous office to here and organised them neatly,woww!
I sat in the chair and started off with my work but my boss hasn't come around yet and this is so unusual because he is usually on time.
I kept working and when lunch reached,still he hadn't come and I wanted to give him a call to know if he is fine but since we don't have such a connection,I let it pass.
I organised my staff so that I could go and grab my lunch.
Knock knock,"yes come in,"
The receptionist walked in with a package and placed it on my desk.
"This is your delivery ma'am," she said.
"From who??" I Dumbly asked because I wasn't expecting anything from anyone.
"Ma'am a delivery guy dropped it at my desk and told me to bring it to you," she walked out of the office.
I opened it and it was food,actually my favourite food and I clearly knew it was from my husband but unfortunately the note said otherwise.
"Today I took a day off but hope you enjoy your new office and nice lunch,"
Of course it was from my boss but I wish there was a way I could tell him that he shouldn't have done all this.
Since it was my favourite meal,I had no choice but to fully enjoy it…the food was so tasty and I must admit that these guys were real kitchen masters.
I went back to work and when it clocked 5pm I had to close and head back home to meet my husband and today I want to cook dinner for us so I'm going to pass by the grocery store and buy a few things I will need.
I was at the counter looking for my wallet to clear the bill when I heard a husky voice behind me,
"I will pay for it,"
I turned and it was my boss standing behind me and I frowned.
"Wait,are you stalking me or something??" I sounded so rude.
"No,why would I??" He asked calmly.
"You didn't show up at the office and now you show up here?? If you're not stalking me then tell me what it is because it can't be a coincidence," I arrogantly uttered.
"Ava,this is a public place and it is possible for people to collide at one point and I had no idea I would meet you here but I was surprised too to see you heading to the counter," he replied.
"Whatever, but you're not paying my bills,so back off," I got my wallet and paid for my groceries.
"And this should be the last time to send me lunch at work…even though it was tasty," I walked away from there and I nearly knocked him down.
I reached the car and first calmed myself down because I don't know why I was feeling too much anger…I bent down on the wheel and after calming down,I drove off and went back home.
I found babe in the kitchen and I slowly tiptoed and hugged him from the back.
"Hey when did you get back?" I softly asked him.
"Just a few minutes back and I decided to cook something for both of us," he slowly turned and lifted me from the ground and made me sit on top of the kitchen counter then he stood in between my legs.
"I think our minds were connecting because I also passed by the grocery store with a thought of cooking dinner when I got here," I wrapped my hands around his neck.
"Well I think our minds are still connected at this point because of what's going to happen next," he pulled off his shirt and his abs were visible…this truly turns me on and surely knows it that's why he first removed his shirt.
