Meryl's POV
The darkness wrapped around us like a blanket when I felt his hand slide beneath the cotton shirt I wore to bed. His shirt. Calloused fingers found my breast with unapologetic certainty, no hesitation, no gentle exploration. Just pure possession. He cupped me firmly, thumb brushing over my nipple until it peaked against his touch. Heat flooded my system while my breathing hitched in my throat.
Those same fingers trailed downward. Beyond the fabric's edge. Beneath the waistband of my underwear, seeking the sensitive flesh that had been denied for far too long. He found my center without fumbling, stroking in deliberate circles that made my muscles tense.
My face was turned toward the glass, back pressed against his solid chest. My pulse hammered against my ribs. Fire raced through my veins but I remained motionless. Still pretending sleep. This was insane. I despised him. I should push him away and end this madness.
