Meryl's POV
"What did you do to me?"
I shoved him away with every ounce of strength left in my body and stumbled toward the bathroom mirror. My hand shot to my throat as I stared at my reflection in complete shock. Blood. Thin crimson lines streaked down my pale skin.
His teeth had actually broken through. He had bitten me like some kind of animal.
"Andre," I breathed, spinning around to face him. "What the hell is wrong with you?"
He stood there in silence. His chest rose and fell rapidly, fists clenched tight at his sides. Not one word escaped his lips.
I turned back to the sink and frantically washed the blood away. My hands wouldn't stop trembling as the water turned pink before disappearing down the drain. Nausea rolled through my stomach in waves.
Without another glance in his direction, I gripped the sink edge, steadied my breathing, and walked out of that bathroom.
