Julia's POV
Hours had passed since Gavin fled the kitchen, but my mind refused to quiet down. The memory of what almost happened between us played on repeat, each detail burned into my consciousness with startling clarity.
My big brother. I had nearly crossed that line with my big brother.
The rational part of my brain screamed that it was wrong, twisted, completely inappropriate. But my body told a different story entirely. Every nerve ending still hummed with electricity from where his hands had roamed, where his mouth had claimed mine with desperate hunger.
I could still feel the rough texture of the kitchen wall against my back, still taste him on my lips. The way he had pressed against me, hard and wanting, making me forget everything except the fire building between us. My first real taste of desire, and it had to be with him.
The forbidden nature of it should have disgusted me. Instead, it only made the ache between my thighs more intense.
