Part 1:Dawn Of Delight
Prologue:The War Of Fury
Legends of the Kitsune generations have foretold a mythical prophecy.All those legends said one day the Moonstone would come,yet nobody knew for sure.Before passing away,the latest legend gave hints to a map which told us when and where it would land.We found the map and knew how we were going to get the Moonstone.The Genshi stole it off us.Fortunately,we knew where the Moonstone was,so we wouldn't need the map anymore…
Midnight, the owl is hooting, as my legs swiftly move left and right. Most of the lights are out,but mine is kept on. I train every moment I get. Our team is called 'Kentino'. We are preparing for a fight against the Genshi for the Moon Stone-a mythical artefact made out of monko and monko is a special rock found in the serpent world. If we get to it first, we will wish to become heroes. Everyone will love us and we will become legends. Just as the doors swung open, Rida came in shouting for everyone to get up. "EVERYBODY,WAKE UP.TODAY IS WAR DAY. MAKE SURE YOU ARE ENERGISED."He went round banging doors in every single area,shouting the exact same thing.Rida is our leader and my dad.He wakes us up at midnight every day so we are active and prepared for anything.Rida could wake us up and as soon as he does, he will punch us and we will try to block or fight back.That's how it was every time I woke up.Trying to catch my breath,I turned off my light and opened my door,trotting along the red carpet to the kitchen. Inside,there was rubbish scattered around the floor. It smelt revolting ,covering the scent of healthy food on my right,as if some sort of creature messed up the place.I avoided the rubbish to see nobody was there yet.There was a variety of foods.Salads,fruits and much more.I chose chicken ramen as one of the following options.After a few minutes of preparing the meal,it came out correct.Juicy tender chicken,topped off with some crispy spring onions,two eggs, lush broth surrounding half of the plate which was noodles and a finishing splash of soy sauce.I took some chopsticks and picked up the food,which I gobbled in haste.The fresh flavours of raman filled up my mouth,leading to my stomach.I had all the energy needed for today.Placing my chopsticks down,I bolted towards door to see a shadow figure standing behind it.Slowly,I opened the door to see Rida standing in front of me.
"You have already awoken?"Rida questioned
"Yes Father,I have been up all night training for this battle,"I exclaimed.
"I admire you for doing that,"He hugged me tightly.
"Come on now,we shall wait for the other Kitsunes."We walked to the entrance to see the group just getting out of their rooms,looking more tired than usual,probably because it was a big day.And they were worried.Outside were dozens and dozens of horses in the sticky mud,along with hazel dirt that went off miles into the abyss.In front of me was a silver gate that stood really high with barbed wire and spikes on it.Normally,in order for the gate to open,we would need lighting,which we would normally have.Otherwise,we would have to climb over fence to get to the other side if lighting was not in our presence.On my left,there was a training section where the training dummies had arrows engraved in them.On my right,there were some emerald glamorous trees with brownish thick trunks.Next to the trees,was a pond with some frogs inside it,but most of them were dead due to dinner last night.Beside the pond was a small log to sit on.I ran towards it and rested while Rida went to drink from the pond.Eventually,the others came outside.Rida explained how we were going to get the Moonstone.They all shook their heads saying,
"YES SIR!"We got on the horses and raced into the depths of Japan,crossing massive lakes,that we had to swim through along with the horses to get to the other side.We travelled in dust that seemed like it would continue forever,discovered amazing species of all kind,encountered harsh blizzards and much more.After hours and hours of adventure,we got to the location,to the middle of Japan.All of us got off our horses,getting into the format Rida told us too.Everybody stood in silence,waiting for a drop…drop…drop.Nothing.But,the silence was broken by the Genshi in the mist.They had weapons,swords of all kind.Their horses were much bigger than ours and they had armour.We can see that the Genshi have had a lot of blacksmiths to forge all such kinds of materials.They stopped in their tracks and the leader,Maikeru, spoke.
"We have to agree that two of us will live and the rest will die.Are you willing to take that promise?Even if it was your son?"Maikeru asked.
"Yes.I die or my son dies.Same goes with you or your son."Rida replied.
"Now,where is it?"
"What?"
"The Moonstone.Where is it?"
"It has not landed yet."The samurais stood in disbelief and clutched onto their swords harder than before.
"Be patient everybody."Just as we were about to turn around,a sapphire star gazed at us from space,it was coming down fast,fire began to flow through it from side to side.
"EVERYONE,MAKE A RUN FOR IT."Rida shouted.We ran quickly away from the Moonstone as fast as we could.The stone made a massive impact crashing into the ground,BOOM!It sent a massive wave of dusk around the milky way,which created a sand storm.People were shouting as some got blinded.Nobody could see for a while.Some of the Genshi and Kentino went blind,I could tell because of the shouts coming from both sides.
"HELLO?RIDA?ANYBODY?ARE YOU OUT THERE?"I muttered.There was no reply.Just screams of agony.Everyone was blinded by the storm and pieces of sand kept getting into my eyes.After the wave was gone,the Moonstone glowed brightly.I could see dead people scattered across the fields.Their eyes were swollen,sunken into their skulls.The scarlet blood rolled down their eye sockets.It was traumatic.I just froze there for a minute,just a minute.Not know what to do.
"JUST LIKE WE PRACTISED!"Maikeru shouted to his team,telling them to go directly for the Moonstone.Rida did the same,pointing to the direction of the Moonstone.Suddenly, everyone was running to the middle towards it.Swords clanged,bodies thudded,blood splattered on everyone,people shouted in anger.Us kitsunes were strong but the Genshi had the upper hand.They had elemental manipulation which meant they could enchant their weapons into any element they have mastered.The swords shone brightly but the Moonstone?An even stronger source of light. It looked like a guiding light.Adrenaline ran through my body as my vision got blurry.The sound of dread began to fade.Rida tried to keep me awake.
"Don't fall asleep right now,wake up,can you hear me Ishiku?"My body fell right to the ground.I didn't know what happened.I couldn't see anything for God knows how long.It was just blank,it's like something paralysed me.I was in an empty void.Just nothing,nothing.But shortly after,I could feel myself gaining consciousness of my body.I woke up to see our whole team dead,there were dead bodies everywhere with loads of blood.The Genshi had seemed to be wiped out except the leader and what seemed to be his son.Along with that,Rida was still alive.He was fighting Maikeru.
"You're not worthy of such power,you have a dark heart Rida."The illuminated sword clashed into Rida's fist,countering his attack,throwing him into the distance.
"I will do anything to carry my family blood!"Maikeru fell right into the ground,breaking his hip and every bone in both of his legs.Maikeru started to bleed out,scars,bruises and cuts were all around his body.His son ran over to him and started crying into tears.Maikeru grabbed his hand and told him."Listen my son."He cleared his throat thoroughly.
"There's a slim chance that I'll survive."
"Father please,please…please do not die.I beg you,you are the most important person in my life.DONOT GO!"He started to cry uncontrollably.Maikeru began to bleed while I just stood there in shock.
"Kurisu,you were never some weak boy.You always had potential. So please plan your Mother's funeral.Never and I mean never stop fighting.For the Atomics and life in general.Please keep on going.You have power,true power."His skin began to become pale.
"You…you're going to die.How will I be able to take care of myself and Aizzuku alone?"
"You have your cousins the same age as you,you will be able to figure it out,I promise."Maikeru took off his hat and gave it to Kurisu.
"Take the Moonstone,protect it with all your heart.Take my sword aswell.I know you will be a hero,a legend when you grow up.I can trust you.Please carry my name,the Genshi name,for the greater good.I love you,Kurisu."Kurisu began crying softly,he grabbed his Father's hand,which had blood on it.Maikeru took off his cape and gave it to Kurisu.
"I love you too Father…"Maikeru smiled and closed his eyes.Kurisu began to feel his hand loosening,knowing his Father had just died.He looked up in the sky.
"I promise Father,I promise."Then he looked down again.Rida got dizzy and was headed for the Moonstone,realising that I was closer to it.But I was too focused on Kurisu.A son lost his father,there was nothing I could do to save him.Rida tried to stand up,he pointed to the Moonstone,as he was too tired to speak.Without hesitation,I ran to the centre of Japan to snatch the artefact.Kurisu took Maikeru's sword and slashed through my skin. He cut both of my hands off,dropping the sword and rushed to get the stone for himself. I started to feel dizzy again.
"I…I am sorry.I had to do it!"
"Help,I…I need help….PLEASE RIDA!"I screamed in agony.
"MY..MY ARMS THEY BURN,HELP RIDA PLEASE."Blood was running down my arms rapidly,I was dying and I needed some assistance.Rida had to make a tough ultimatum by choosing between to save me or the Moonstone.He ran towards me and gently placed me onto the horse's back.
"I will be back,to kill you all."He threatened the Genshi.Kurisu ran the opposite direction with fright and fear,not looking back.The horse struggled to gallop as blood trickled down onto its face all the way back to the palace,resulting to leave a bloody trail.All those hours,blood dripped and dripped,I was surprised I survive a six hour journey back.But all that time,I screamed,I cried as my arms burned brighter than any blazing fire.
"Don't you worry Ishiku,I will help you as much as I can."Rida took me into his arms again and rushed towards the door,barging in.He placed me down and scanned around the building to find some bandages.
"Don't worry,it's gonna be alright."He put the bandages around my cut open wrists.
"Just give it some time and the blood will stop coming out.I'm going to hunt down the Genshi and when I find them,I'll steal the Moonstone and we can both grant our wishes."
"Thank you."I said.
And that was the last thing he said to me.
I looked away for just a second worrying about my son.Was he going to die?I hoped not.Would the Genshi know where we are?How will I be able to find them?I'll have to look all over the world very thoroughly.Japan is the best chance of them being there but the Moonstone will protect them until the Genshi Prodigy is born.Suddenly,I felt something thick and warm on my legs,when I glanced back,Ishiku looked dead.I lifted up his mask and his eye sockets were ripped out.He bled too fast.The blood spreaded around the whole room.
"Ishiku,wake up…YOU CAN'T DIE NO.WAKE UP,CAN YOU HEAR ME?"I started to panic,Ishiku just died and it was my fault.No No NO.Those damn samurais,they are murderers. It is NOT my fault.
"I will avenge you,mark my words,I will get you that wish,I swear to god I will slaughter them all.,I am coming for you."Dragging his body outside,I used my paws to dig up a grave for Ishiku.I threw his body in the hole along with his mask and patched the grave up with dirt.It started to smell so I picked up some flowers in the miniature forest to put beside him.I then took some rocks and carved it to say his name.Next,I found some wax and shaped it into a candle then made a little fire to light the candles and places it beside the grave.
"I am sorry,my son..."I said quietly,
"We will all remember you.God bless you Ishiku."I cleaned up the blood and set my journey to find the Genshi(After training of course).I knew this was the last time the palace would be seen for a while.I packed up food and water so I wouldn't starve.
"Goodbye home,for now.I will return to you Ishiku,I promise."
