When Jun turned around and noticed Yushan right behind him and the door closed, his heart almost leaped out of his chest. The way the room suddenly felt smaller made the air seem heavier around him.
His fingers tightened slightly around the edges of the script he had barely pulled from the shelf, and he found himself drawing in a breath that didn't steady him at all.

do you think I'm what they say I am?" Yushan asked directly.
"No." Jun answered, his voice low but certain, as if that was the one thing he was not going to let Yushan assume. The answer left his mouth without hesitation, almost like an instinctive reaction born from something stronger than the panic pushing at him.
