Chapter 720 - Chapter 720: The Mighty Power of the Primordial God

Chapter 720: The Mighty Power of the Primordial God

A God's Rage

On the summit of Mount Kunlun in China, the tranquil sky suddenly erupted with multi-colored light. An incredibly powerful pressure emanated from it, as if some terrifying monster was about to emerge.

The Daoist priests who were meditating instantly changed color. They quickly climbed to the peak, their expressions grave.

One muttered, "The legend is true. The entrance to the Celestial Court really is in Kunlun Mountain."

"It might not be a good thing," an elder Daoist sighed, turning to look at Zhang Xintuo. "Grand-Master, the people above keep asking about the anomalies at Kunlun Mountain. Should we reveal anything?"

"No need. Do not tell them."

"Understood."

The elder Daoist understood, and the others understood as well. They were each lost in thought, but no one spoke. Elder Yunshang opened his mouth, but ultimately gave a bitter smile.

That martial uncle had been stuck at the peak of Demigod rank for many years, unable to find a way to take the final step. His lifespan was ending, and the Celestial Court was his last chance.

Legend had it that the Celestial Court was the dwelling place of the gods, and it held the method for achieving godhood. This was the chance the martial uncle was seeking.

To achieve godhood, he was disregarding everything else.

If this matter reached the higher authorities, it would trigger another storm.

The Destruction of the World

The giant's single punch had changed the entire Celestial Court World. The churning waves of earth created massive shockwaves. All living creatures within a 500 km perished, with none spared. The specter army was devoured by the earth-waves, and even the entrance to the Green Flame World was affected.

Luke flew to Diana's side, setting up layers of barriers in front of them, struggling to resist the pervasive shockwaves.

Diana couldn't help but ask,

"That Twin-Eyed Woman, I clearly killed her myself. Why is she alive? And fighting with you?"

"Luke, what are you..."

Luke shook his head. "To be honest, I'm just as full of questions as you are. They had no place in my plan, yet they suddenly appeared, voluntarily joining the battle, just like the specter army."

Diana frowned. After a moment of hesitation, she continued,

"There's one thing I've always wanted to ask you. What is your flame? I used to think it was a superpower, but I later realized it wasn't at all. What is it, really? Where does it come from?"

Luke gently squeezed her chin, forcing a relaxed smile.

"Don't worry, it's fine. It's completely under my control."

Diana sighed softly, then said,

"I know you don't want me to worry, and I won't ask again, but I have to say this: Power is only truly yours if it originates from you. Any other kind of power will never truly belong to you, nor will it be under your absolute control."

Luke fell silent. He pulled her close and comforted her.

"Don't worry. Once this is over, I'll immediately abandon my magician identity and dedicate myself to high-tech research, transforming into the Invincible Iron Prince."

Diana rolled her eyes. "You... a prince?"

"Iron Prince paired with an Amazonian Princess—a match made in heaven."

"Stop with the sweet talk. Your army is about to be wiped out."

"You get to higher ground and hide. I'll be back as soon as I finish off the giant."

Luke left Diana and returned to the battlefield. The ground had now completely changed: all plants and animals were gone, replaced only by jagged, protruding rocks that resembled spears.

The specter army was swallowed by the earth-waves, and the stone army fared no better. The battlefield was left with only the sky-high giant and the sea of fire, which had been scattered by the impact.

The giant's left hand was fully restored. Its body was wrapped in a yellowish-brown armor, radiating twice the power it had before. Hanyue and the seven other specters stood on the sea of fire, watching their opponent with grave expressions.

That single punch had shown them the horror of the Primordial God. An attack that changes the world instantly—what an immense amount of divine power that must require.

The giant opened its fingers, and a yellow light extracted from the earth transformed into a colossal golden mace stretching tens of thousands of meters.

"Oh no!"

Luke's face changed drastically. He quickly mobilized the sea of fire to shield himself.

The giant gripped the colossal mace with both hands and swept it forward with tremendous force. The mace, tens of thousands of meters long, swept across the sky—a terrifying sight. Before it even made contact, the earth was already shattering, the air was compressed, the space was compressed, forming a world-destroying storm.

Bang!

The yellowish-brown light wave exploded in the sky. The visual scene shattered, the sound disappeared, leaving only the constantly shaking world and the hurricane-force winds rushing toward them.

Boom!

The sea of fire was instantly pierced through. The light wave, blocking out the sky, rushed toward them. The seven specters only managed to hold out for a few seconds before being pulverized by the impact. Luke turned his body from solid to void, desperately resisting. Even so, the ubiquitous impact caused him an unprecedented, agonizing pain.

His soul felt like it was splitting apart.

The power of the Primordial God is this terrifying.

The shockwave lasted a full half-minute before finally dissipating.

The ground in front of the giant had vanished, replaced by an abyss that stretched from east to west to the end of the horizon.

Diana was stunned, staring foolishly ahead.

"What is that?"

"Am I hallucinating?"

The giant paused for a breath, then turned to leave. After only two steps, it stopped abruptly, turning its head to look forward with an expressionless gaze.

The air churned, and a whirlpool quietly materialized.

Luke stepped out of the whirlpool, the fiercely burning Green Flame World blazing behind him.

"Truly worthy of being the Creator of the Celestial Court and the most ancient god on Earth. I've certainly gained an education today."

The giant opened its mouth, letting out an unusually hoarse voice.

"Who are you?"

It spoke in the ancient language, cryptic and difficult to understand, yet possessing an undeniable power.

Luke nodded slightly. "Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Luke, and I am from the human world."

Human?

The giant stared intently at him. "Humans do not possess this power."

"That was then, this is now. The times have changed. The age of the gods has ended, and humanity has risen. The Earth now belongs to humanity."

"Based on you alone?"

The giant raised its colossal mace, pointing it directly at Luke. In that moment, Luke felt as if a wall had appeared in front of him, blocking his entire view. To avoid being smashed to death by a single blow, he could only expand the whirlpool as much as possible.

The whirlpool grew larger and larger, and the contents inside became clearer: a fiercely burning world and an infinite army of specters.

Luke soared upward, surrounding the giant from all directions with the sky-covering sea of fire.

The giant swung its mace, and the sea of fire instantly collapsed, only to recover completely the next second. The flames of the Green Flame World were inexhaustible; no matter how much was destroyed, new flames would instantly replenish it.

They swarmed like locusts, enveloping the giant from top to bottom.

The flames were restless, like hungry wolves that had spotted their prey, constantly trying to erode the giant's body. The giant stood there expressionless, its body wrapped in a yellowish-brown energy shield. No flame could penetrate its defense.

Luke concealed himself in the sea of fire. Using the flames as cover, he silently flew to the giant's brow. He drew his bow, and the surrounding flames transformed into a single arrow that gathered on the bowstring.

Bang!

The bowstring sang, and a pillar of light shot out of the sea of fire, violently striking the energy shield.

The blow was both sudden and immensely powerful. It pierced the shield, leaving a bloody hole in the giant's brow. Luke took advantage of the opening, plunging through the blood hole and into the giant's body.
