Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Danzo's Pathology

"Yo, this is the latest directive from Lord Danzo." A ninja from the Root Organization handed a scroll to Mokgetsu.

Mokgetsu nodded and accepted the scroll. Yo was his code name in the Root.

The two did not exchange many words. After handing the scroll to Mokgetsu, the Root Organization ninja swiftly disappeared. Mokgetsu was like a hidden piece on the board for Root; too much contact might get him discovered by the Anbu, which would be troublesome.

Before the Root Organization ninja departed, Mokgetsu gave an evaluation.

[Name: Hiramizuiro]

[Potential: B]

[Chakra: 7000]

[Evaluation: A somewhat capable Jonin]

Looking at the impressive chakra level of 7000, Mokgetsu couldn't help but feel a bit envious. He didn't even have 5000, which was as if five or six-year-old Shisuis separated him from them.

Once Mokgetsu could no longer sense the Root Organization ninja using Perception Ninjutsu, he then entered the room, opened the scroll, and checked what new instructions Danzo had issued.

"The Uchiha Shisui in your class is a genius of the Uchiha Clan. Keep an eye on his actions, confirm his personality, and evaluate him."

After reading, Mokgetsu felt a bit emotional. Danzo's fear of the Uchiha was almost pathological.

Shisui is only six years old this year, and he's just started at the Ninja School.

Such a young child, just because of a slight reputation as a genius in the clan, Danzo wanted Mokgetsu to monitor and assess him.

Of course, it's also possible Danzo had ideas about Shisui and wanted to pull him into the Root.

But Mokgetsu believed that Danzo's intentions would not be realized, as the Third Hokage would make Danzo understand who truly was the Hokage.

The Third Hokage could tolerate the existence of the Root Organization but would not tolerate an overly powerful Root Organization.

The potential of a genius Uchiha was simply too high; who knows to what heights he might grow.

So a genius Uchiha should either stay docile within the Uchiha Clan or join the Anbu.

After reading, Mokgetsu used Fire Release to destroy the scroll.

This new directive was still within Mokgetsu's acceptable range. In fact, even if Danzo hadn't sent someone specifically, Mokgetsu would have reported Shisui's genius status during his reports.

Because Mokgetsu felt that with Danzo's attention on the Uchiha, concealing would be meaningless and would only draw fire upon himself.

Mokgetsu created a Shadow Clone to practice ninjutsu while his real body began the cultivation to enhance his chakra.

Currently, chakra was his biggest shortcoming. No matter how many ninjutsu he learned or how proficient he became, without enough chakra, it would be challenging to exert their full power.

A ninja with little chakra, no matter how strong, had limited strength, whereas a ninja with ample chakra, even if weak, would not be weak to a considerable extent. One could say chakra determines a ninja's upper and lower limits.

...

The next day.

Since he didn't have classes in the morning, Mokgetsu took this time to visit the Ninja Academy's data room.

He wanted to organize the past few years' fourth-grade exam papers, and since the process went smoothly, he also casually found the first-grade ones.

His primary aim was for taking on disciples, but improving two students' theoretical grades wasn't just empty talk.

After studying a bit, Mokgetsu found that the exam questions each year didn't vary much. Each question was a type, either rephrased or using different data, and some papers even had identical questions.

Mokgetsu nodded, feeling confident about the two students passing.

He felt that drilling the questions might not even be necessary; merely letting the two do some papers from the past two years should suffice for them to pass.

After Mokgetsu took a few papers, he left the data room and went to the office.

"Yesterday, she kept listening to me talk, clearly very interested in me!"

"Is it possible that she simply didn't want to talk to you?"

"When it was time to pay yesterday, she even offered to split the bill, she was already considering me!"

"Is it possible she's afraid you'd use the excuse of treating next time to ask her out again?"

As Mokgetsu entered the office, he saw Ueda Aya criticizing Iketani Isamu.

Mokgetsu turned to Kimura Sugihito, who was watching from the sidelines.

"Didn't Isamu go on a blind date yesterday? He was just recounting his experience to us now, hoping we'd give him some tips on pursuing someone, but Ueda feels his blind date isn't interested in him and advises him to move on to the next one." Kimura Sugihito briefly explained the situation.

"Teacher Habu, you're just in time. Do you have any special techniques for chasing girls?" Iketani Isamu, noticing Mokgetsu's arrival, forgot his argument with Ueda Aya and hurriedly asked.

He thought Mokgetsu looked like someone who'd have lots of girlfriends.

"Special techniques? I think as long as you let the other person feel your sincerity, it should be enough." Mokgetsu thought for a moment and said.

Whether or not he had special techniques was one thing; even if Mokgetsu did, he wouldn't tell Iketani Isamu because it wasn't the kind of persona Mokgetsu wanted to portray.

"Sincerity..." Iketani Isamu showed a troubled expression, wondering how one could let the other person feel it.

"Give it up, Iketani. Just look at Teacher Habu; his tips might not work for you." Ueda Aya said faintly.

"How's that possible? I admit Teacher Habu is a bit more handsome than I am, but not by that much." Iketani Isamu said defiantly.

"You're really stubborn until you hit the wall." Ueda Aya said, a bit exasperated as she looked at the obstinate Iketani Isamu.

She was a woman herself, so wouldn't she understand women? From what Iketani Isamu said, she knew this blind date was a failure, but Iketani was obstinate.

"Good luck." Mokgetsu smiled encouragingly; what else could he say when even Ueda Aya, as a friend, couldn't sway him?

Besides, Mokgetsu did hope Iketani Isamu would get busier, so he could substitute-teach for the Fourth Grade, Class Two again.

"Teacher Mokgetsu has a good eye. Just wait and see, Ueda." With Mokgetsu's encouragement, Iketani Isamu gained even more confidence.

In the afternoon, during class, Mokgetsu made a small attempt by deliberately lowering the quality of his lessons.

Based on the previous system evaluations, he speculated that the teaching score should consist of two major parts: content quality and student satisfaction.

He wanted to obtain a B-level evaluation because there was an extra reward when he first received an A-level evaluation.

By analogy, there should be an extra reward for the first B-level evaluation as well.

[Lesson completed, evaluating]

[Evaluation: B]

[Reward: Chakra +20]

[First-time B-level evaluation received, reward—Proficient mastery of Chakra Form Transformation]

A wealth of memories about his cultivation of Chakra Form Transformation instantly appeared in Mokgetsu's mind.

Mokgetsu was pleasantly surprised; in the chakra system, form transformation is as notable as nature transformation, and both can effectively strengthen ninjutsu.

Although form transformation was only proficient and not masterful, it was not limited by chakra attributes.

Speaking of form transformation, one cannot fail to mention Naruto's continuous development of the Rasengan. The Rasengan is a quintessential example of form transformation and is highly potent without the need for nature transformation.

"I can start developing the Rasengan." Mokgetsu prepared to self-develop this practical A-level No-seal Jutsu. With the detailed cultivation process from the original story and his form transformation knowledge, the process should not be too difficult.

The chakra from the B-level evaluation also gave Mokgetsu another angle to consider his teaching; he felt he could occasionally aim for some B-level evaluations, as, although each gave a small amount, they could accumulate to great significance.

Adding the development of the Rasengan to his schedule, Mokgetsu realized that his current life was exceptionally fulfilling.

In normal days, he taught during the day, guided Shisui in the evening, cultivated himself and developed ninjutsu at night, and conducted special training for Might Guy and Obito on weekends. His schedule was packed.

Mokgetsu really wanted to maintain such a peaceful life, developing steadily over the years.

Unfortunately, he did not transmigrate at a good time, dooming his chance to enjoy quiet days.

On the fourth day after Mokgetsu's arrival in the Ninja World, a less favorable piece of news was sent back to Konoha from the frontlines.
