Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 Setting Up a Love Plot For Utaha

"I merely notified Oda-sensei."

Utaha stated flatly.

Her delicate eyebrows occasionally furrowed in thought, and her fingers would sometimes pause, seemingly as she contemplated the next plot point for her novel.

Yusei looked at the text Utaha had already typed out. It was a scene depicting the ambiguity of a love triangle, but it was stuck at the stage of figuring out how to phrase things.

She was pondering how to have the male lead's girlfriend discover that he had another ambiguous interest.

Yusei raised an eyebrow, 'Wasn't this plot rather simple? For example, the female lead could find a single strand of hair while staying over at the male lead's place.'

'Or the male lead could be careless and fail to put away another, cuter pair of slippers, which the female lead then discovers...'

'Can't even think of these scenarios? And you call yourself a bestselling novelist?'

'I could totally do this myself. No need to resort to being a copywriter at all.'

Thinking this, Yusei couldn't help but look at Utaha with a hint of disdain.

"I feel someone is looking at me with a strange gaze."

Suddenly, Utaha turned her head sharply, her deep black eyes fixed intently on Yusei as if trying to see through to his innermost thoughts.

"Cough, no, no, I was just reading your novel," Yusei quickly averted his gaze, secretly wiping a cold sweat, 'Was Senpai's intuition this sharp? It felt like she had some kind of superpower.'

'Did she actually know I was looking down on her?'

And in fact... Utaha didn't know Yusei had been disdainful moments before, but she was certain he had been staring at her… or rather, at the novel.

When a boy stares intently at a girl, anyone would suspect the boy has some ulterior thoughts, right?

It wasn't that Utaha was particularly narcissistic, it was genuinely because the boys at school were annoying and many of them buzzing around like flies.

Initially, because Yusei looked quite weak and passive, Utaha had categorized him in the 'herbivore' group.

But because of this misunderstood gaze, she now re-categorized him into the 'fly' group.

Hearing Yusei say he was looking at her novel, she became somewhat interested.

"You understand novels? This is different from the erotica you probably read."

"I don't read erotica, don't slander me," Yusei immediately retorted, then cleared his throat lightly, "I can see you're trying to write about the complex emotions and conflicts between the male lead, the female lead, and the other woman."

"But right now, you're probably troubled about how to have the female lead discover her boyfriend is having an affair, right?"

"You know?" Utaha, who had been somewhat casual before, was now genuinely surprised.

She hadn't written the subsequent plot yet, and this was a scenario she was just beginning to conceive, but the point was, she hadn't planned to write it down yet.

"Of course," Yusei smiled mysteriously.

As someone who had read tons of novels and watched countless anime in his previous life, how could he not think of such a plot?

He could even come up with more bizarre and twisted plots!

Without beating around the bush, Yusei directly shared his ideas.

Utaha's expression shifted from attentiveness to surprise, and eventually, she began looking at Yusei with a suspicious gaze.

When Yusei finished speaking, he finally noticed the strange way she was staring at him.

"What is it? Is there something on my face?" Yusei instinctively touched his cheek.

"No... I wanted to ask, are these your personal experiences? To have such a profound understanding, it must be based on personal experience, right?"

"Huh?" Yusei blinked, utterly bewildered.

Utaha sighed, but soon an excited smile reappeared on her face.

"I take back what I said earlier. Although your behavior was somewhat perverted, I have to admit, your personal experiences have helped me. Inspiration is gushing forth like a fountain."

"I haven't had those experiences..." Yusei wanted to defend himself, but Utaha waved her hand dismissively.

"Please do not disturb my writing."

Yusei opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but seeing Utaha's excited, focused expression as she typed rapidly, he closed it again.

'Great. So I'm just a tool now? And a slandered tool at that? Those weren't my personal experiences!'

'Aren't these simple plots something anyone could think of easily?'
