"I'll go first." Ryoken stated as he played a spell card "I activate Graceful charity, with it I can draw 3 cards but must discard 2 after that."
He drew 3 cards, briefly glancing at them before sending 2 to the graveyard.
"Next I activate Trade in, by sending a level 8 monster from my hand to the graveyard I can draw 2 more cards. I send Blue-eyes white dragon to the graveyard."
Zane's lio twitched upon hearing that card's name. Weren't they supposed to have a pure cyber style duel?
"Ah it seems you noticed it. But as you saw, Cyberdark cards utilise usage of dragon type monsters. So I added a few to my deck to use it, hope you don't mind it."
"It's fine. I also have a few cards that aren't from the Cyber Archetype, so we can call it even." Zane confessed, making Ryoken shake his head before playing the next card.
"I set a monster facedown, and set 2 cards to end my turn."

"It's kind of nostalgic dueling you again... how long has it been since the last duel? 2 years?"
Ryoken nodded "Yes. And you still haven't managed to win against me."
Zane chuckled "And you still have that attitude of yours." He then played his card "I activate the spell card Cyber Emergency to add Cyber Dragon to my hand."
"Next I activate Polymerization to fuse the 2 Cyber Dragons in my hand! Fusion summon!"
"Two Mighty Dragons Join together and become one to form an even mightier Dragon! Fusion Summon! Appear, Level 8! Cyber Twin Dragon!"
Cyber Twin Dragon 2800ATK/2100DEF
"Cyber Twin Dragon attack his set monster! Twin Revolutionary blast! and since your monster is in the defence position, you take piercing damage!"
As the blast hit the set monster on Ryoken's field, smoke and dust filled the area. As the dust began to settle, Ryoken was standing fine while the monster on his field was shining brightly.
"My set monster was Exploder Dragon. Neither player takes battle damage from this card, so my life points are safe. Then there's his other effect, when destroyed by battle, the monster that attacked it will also be destroyed."
The dragon flew head on first to Cyber Twin Dragon, hitting it and exploding, destroying it in the process.
"Neat effect. I Normal summon Proto-Cyber Dragon in defence position and set two cards face down to end my turn."

"Cyberdark Edge's effect activates. When summoned I can select a level 3 or lower Dragon type monster from my graveyard and equip it to this card, also this card gains attack points equal to the equipped cards attack points! I equip Hunter dragon in my graveyard that has 1700 attack points!"
Hunter dragon appeared from the graveyard before Cyberdark Edge latched onto it like a parasite.

Whilst I Cyber Dragon and its support cards went for brute force and combined with each other to get stronger, Cyberdark cards used other monsters as their hosts and functioned similar to parasites.
That's why Zane didn't want to accept the deck when Ryoken offered it to him, because he didn't like that style of play.
"I can guess what you're thinking, but Zane don't let things like honour get in the way of your improvement as a duelist."
Zane didn't say anything, making Ryoken sigh before continuing with his turn.
"During the battle phase Cyberdark Edge can attack directly, but it's attack points is haleved. Cyberdark Edge attack him."
The attack hit Zane and made him grunt as he felt the force behind the attack.
'It wasn't like this before, has Ryoken gotten stronger?'

"My turn, I draw!"

"From my hand I activate Pot of Greed, allowing me to draw 2 more cards!"
"Here it comes, one of my new cardsp! I activate the spell card Cyber Charge! I can choose up to 3 monsters from my deck that mention Cyber Dragon, then send them to the graveyard and draw cards equal to the number of the selected cards! I send Cyber Dragon Vier, Cyber Dragon Herz and Cyber Dragon Zwei to the graveyard !"
'That's new, I think it doesn't even exist back in my own world...' Ryoken thought as he observed the new card.
"Cyber Dragon Herz effect activates! When sent to the graveyard I can choose a Cyber Dragon from my deck or graveyard and add it to my hand. I add one of Cyber Dragons that is in my graveyard."
"So you have a full hand now huh?" Ryoken muttered. Zane had gone from zero cards in his hands before the start of this turn to 5 cards.
The luck, no, the skill you needed to pull that off was crazy.
"Indeed. Now time to show you another new card! When my opponent controls a monster, I can special summon this card! appear, Cyber Jormungardr!"
Cyber Jormungardr 1000ATK/2100DEF
(A/N: As some might know Cyber Jormungardr is the new support card for Cyber Dragon that was released a month ago or so. The origin of the cards name goes back to Norse mythology unlike other Cyber Dragon cards that had Dutch origin. Jormungardr is known as the world serpent and also the name itself means "Huge monster". Just wanted to share some interesting facts with you guys. Now back onto story.)

'Here it comes.' Ryoken braced himself for the monster Zane was about to summon.
"I activate Polymerization to fuse the 2 Cyber dragons in my hand! Fusion summon!"
"Two Mighty Dragons Join together and become one to form a rampant Dragon! Fusion Summon! Appear, Level 5! Chimeratech Rampage Dragon!"
Chimeratech Rampage Dragon 2100ATK/1600DEF
"Rampant Dragon's effect activates! When summoned I can target spell and trap cards on the field equal to the number of materials used to summon it and destroy them! I destroy both of your set cards!"
"Not so fast! I activate my set card, threatening roar! This turn monsters cannot declare attack!" Ryoken exclamaied, activating his trap card right before it got destroyed."
"So you're safe this turn too. Not bad. But I'm not done here, I activate Overload Fusion to fuse the Cyber Dragon in my graveyard with both monsters on my field by banishing them! Go trifold fusion summon!"
"Three Mighty Dragons Join together and become one to form the dragon of eternity! Fusion Summon! Appear in attack position, Level 10! Cyber Eternity Dragon!"
Cyber Eternity Dragon 2800ATK/4000DEF
The new Cyber Dragon had a bright and shining appearance, with gold and white iron scales all over Its body.
"I end my turn. I set a card and end my turn."

"What to do now..." Ryoken muttered as he looked at how the field had been set up.
He couldn't target Eternity Dragon with card effects thanks to it effect. When there's a fusion monster in the graveyard, Eternity Dragon is safe from card effects.
"I activate Cyberdark Cannon's effect from my hand. I send it to the graveyard to add one Cyberdark monster to my hand. I add Cyberdark Keel."
"Next I activate the continuous spell card to Cyberdark Realm. When activated I can add a Cyberdark monster to my hand. I add Cyberdark Horn."
Time to show you the might of the Cyberdark archetype! I activate Cyberdark Impact! By returning Horn, Keel and edge from my hand, field, graveyard or banishment, I can fusion summon Cyberdark Dragon!"
"Three mechanical parasites join together to give birth to the Parasite Dragon! Fusion summon! Appear Level 8! Cyberdark Dragon!"

The new monster took the field and let out a screech. It's appearance a combination of the three monsters that were used to summon it.
"When fusion summoned, I can choose a Dragon monster in my graveyard and equip it to this card! Then it gains that card's attack points! I chose Blue-eyes white dragon!"
Cyberdark Dragon 1000 + 3000 -> 4000
If kaiba was there to witness that a parasite was using his most treasured card, he would have died from a heart attack.
"Also for each monster that is in my graveyard, Cyberdark Dragon gains 100 attack points. There's 4 so it gains 400 attack points, which means it attack points reaches 4400!"
Cyberdark Dragon 4000 + 400 -> 4400
"Cyberdark Dragon attack Eternity Dragon! Dark revolutionary burst!"
The Dark dragon absorbed Blue-eyes power and released a dark burst stream of energy, on it's way to hit the Eternity Dragon.
"Quick-play spell card activate! Limit removal! The attack points of all machine monsters on my field is doubled!"
Cyber Eternity Dragon 2800 × 2 -> 5600
As it's attack points got doubled, Eternity Dragon let out a powerful roar, before releasing a blast of its own and destroying Cyberdark Dragon.

Ryoken cursed under his breath before he set 2 cards and ended his turn.
"Since this is the end phase, my monster is destroyed. And when it is destroyed I can special summon a Cyber Dragon from my graveyard, hand or deck. Appear from my graveyard, Cyber Dragon!"

"I draw!" Zane said as he drew the top card of his deck, showing a smile as he saw the card he drew which made Ryoken frown.

"I activate the spell card Cyber Eternal. I can chose a 1 Machine (Cyber) Fusion Monster in my graveyard and return it to the Extra Deck or Special Summon it! Come back to my field again! Cyber Twin Dragon!"

"I activate Cyber Eternity Dragons effect. By banishing it, till the end of this turn my opponent cannot target Fusion Monsters you control with card effects, also they cannot be destroyed by your card effects either!"
Ryoken saw the visage of a mechanical Dragon behind Zane, one that had several heads. He knew for a fact that card was none other than Chimeratech Overdragon.
It could be said that it was the strongest card in the Cyber Dragon Archetype. If he survived this, his chance of victory in the next turn would be granted.
"Quick-play spell card activate! Cyberload Fusion! I return Cyber Eternity Dragon, Cyber Jormungardr, Chimeratech Rampage Dragon, 2 copies of Cyber Dragon from my banishment and Cyber Twin Dragon on my field to fusion summon! Go sixfold Fusion summon!"
"All machines come together to create the ultimate Cyber dragon! Appear and unleash your power! Level 9! Chimeratech Overdragon!"
The new Cyber dragon took the field as it appeared. Its six heads looking down at Ryoken with their mouths open, brimming with power of destruction.

"Overdragon attack and defence points are equal to the number of its fusion materials ×800. I used 6 monsters, so its attack and defence points are 4800."

"Set card activate! Power wall! For each 500 points of damage I would be taking I can send a card from my deck to the graveyard instead! I send 10 cards in total!"
He put his hand on top of his deck and took 10 cards out in one move, throwing them all in air.
Ryoken had always wanted to use this card and aura farm with it since zane used it in the GX Series.
"Power wall huh... I didn't expect you to survive this by using my own trap card. I end my turn."
Turn 7
Draw Phase
"I draw."

"I activate Pot of greed to draw 2 cards."
As Ryoken added the cards to his hand, he was in predicament. He could summon Furious Dragon if he wanted and easily win the duel, but doing so would mean that this duel would be useless since the main focus was the Cyber style itself.
"I activate the spell card Cybernetic Horizon! I send one (Cyber) monster from my hand and one from my deck to the graveyard, then I can add 1 (Cyber) monster to my hand, And if I do I can also send a machine or dragon fusion monster from my deck to the graveyard. I send Cyberdark Keel from my hand and Cyberdark Edge from my deck to add Cyberdark Horn to my hand. Then I'll send five headed dragon from my extra deck to the graveyard."
"Since you showed me your strongest monste, then I'll also will show you mine. I activate quick-play spell card Cybernetic Fusion Support. By paying half of my life points, During this turn if I'm going to summon a machine fusion monster I can banish cards from my hand, field or graveyard. Now I'll use the card you gifted me! Power bond! I fuse Keel, Edge, Horn, Claw and cannon!"
The five Cyberdark monsters appeared fusing together to create Cyberdark deck's strongest monster.
"Five Cyberdark monsters come together to create the most notorious Cyberdark Dragon! Appear and spread darkness! Level 10! Cyberdarkness Dragon!"

"Thanks to power bond it gains attack points equal to its original attack points!"

Although Zane didn't like the Cyberdark archetype, he had to admit that the power it held was real. If he paired it with his Cyber Dragon deck, he could indeed go above his limits as Ryoken had told him before.
"When summoned I can choose a machine or dragon monster from my graveyard and equip it to this card to gain its attack points! I equip it with the card I sent to the graveyard, Five headed dragon!"
Cyberdarkness Dragon 4000 + 5000 -> 9000ATK
"9000 attack points..." Zane muttered as he saw the cards attack points. He knew that this was the end of the duel.
He had cards in his deck that could prevent the destruction of his monster, but it was useless since the amount of attack points were enough.
"Cyberdarkness dragon attack and end this duel! Darkness burst stream of destruction!"
As the two monsters clashed, Cyberdarkness proved to be the winner, blasting different rays of darkness through the Chimeratech overdragon's body and killing it.

Fucking Konami just released new support cards for sky striker archetype. Mf how stronger do they need to make it to be enough!? That being said the card design is peak as always. Might make a Vrains fic just to use Sky striker deck.
