(Jayjay POV)
The sunlight sneaked through the curtains, gently waking me. I stretched, feeling the soft sheets and the gentle sway of the mansion on the island. After the long journey, I realized how exhausted I really was.
Quietly, I slipped out of bed, careful not to wake Keifer. He had fallen asleep beside me while I rested—his hand still warm from where it had brushed mine. A small smile tugged at my lips.
I made my way downstairs, and the moment I stepped into the main hall, I was greeted by the mischievous grins of the Section E boys.
"Well, well, look who decided to join the living!" Rory teased, leaning casually against the wall.
"Keifer's really got you wrapped around his finger now, huh?" Ci-N added, smirking.
Jayjay rolled her eyes, brushing past them without a word. I ignored their laughter, heading straight for the sliding doors that led to the beach. The sound of the waves pulled me like a magnet.
Outside, the sand was warm under my feet, and the gentle breeze ruffled my hair. My eyes landed on Adrian, standing near the shoreline, gazing out at the sea.
"Adrian," I called softly, approaching him.
He turned, a small smile appearing on his face. "Jayjay! I didn't expect to see you out here."
I laughed lightly, feeling the tension of the teasing indoors melt away. "I needed some air… and maybe to escape Section E's teasing for a bit."
Adrian chuckled. "They're relentless, huh?"
"You have no idea," I replied, shaking my head. Then, with a teasing grin, I added, "You know… having you here makes me feel like I have a new kuya now."
He raised an eyebrow, clearly caught off guard by the sudden confession. "A new… kuya?"
I laughed, lightly nudging his shoulder. "Yeah, don't get the wrong idea. It's just… comforting, that's all."
He smiled warmly, and for a few moments, we just watched the waves together, the sound of the ocean blending with our quiet conversation. It felt peaceful, a small bubble of calm before the inevitable chaos of Section E returned.
And somehow, I couldn't help but feel that this vacation was already going to be full of surprises, laughter, and maybe a few stolen kisses.
