Chapter 5 - Chapter 4 — The Sprouting Disaster

Hope was contagious. Unfortunately, so was stupidity.

One Week After "The Miracle Farm" Event

The world had officially gone insane.

Every nation, city-state, and survivor enclave suddenly decided "agriculture" was the next big Awakener trend.

The Fire Guild tried "volcanic soil cultivation."The Lightning Guild attempted "electro-stimulation farming."The Water Guild flooded their test site so hard it turned into a swamp.

"WHY ARE YOU PEOPLE LIKE THIS?!"Jaehyun screamed from behind a bunker as flaming cabbages exploded across the test field.

Woojin saluted proudly, smoke curling from his hair. "Fire enhances growth!"

"Fire enhances death!" Jaehyun yelled. "That's arson, not agriculture!"

Nari, covered in soot but still smiling, held up a half-charred potato. "Look! It's baked already!"

Jaehyun's eye twitched. "I'm quitting. I'm quitting life."

Bureaucracy's Revenge

The Ministry of Agriculture (which previously didn't exist) now had a new motto:

"If it's green, it's divine."

There were parades, speeches, songs, and propaganda posters featuring Jaehyun holding a watering can like a legendary weapon. They called him "The Saint of Soil."

Meanwhile, Jaehyun was in a government meeting, surrounded by serious men in suits.

"We're planning to replicate your aura output," one said."With science," added another.

"...You can't mass-produce me!" Jaehyun snapped.

"Of course not," the Minister said, smiling. "But we can clone your soil sample!"

There was a long silence.

Then Jaehyun slammed his head on the table."Why. Am I. Still here."

Elsewhere… the World Notices.

Rumors of the Green Awakener spread fast.Even monsters avoided his fields, sensing the unfamiliar aura of life.

In a quarantined settlement outside the capital, a faint green shimmer was detected. When scouts arrived, they found a crying baby in a broken cradle—his tiny hands glowing the same shade as Jaehyun's.

Back at the Farm…

Jaehyun lay face-down in the soil, one arm lazily watering bok choy with a leaky hose.Yuri crouched beside him, reading from a report.

"So, uh… congratulations. They found another one."

Jaehyun didn't move. "Another bok choy?"

"Another you, actually."

His hand stopped mid-spray. "What?"

Woojin came running up, waving a holo-screen. "A baby! With a green aura! They're calling him the 'Sprout Messiah Junior!'"

Jaehyun slowly sat up, expression empty. Then he screamed to the heavens:"WHY IS MY LEGACY A FARMING TODDLER?!"

Yuri grinned. "He's kinda cute though. They say when he cries, flowers bloom."

"Yeah? When I cry, bureaucrats bloom!"

"Think of it this way," Woojin said cheerfully. "You're not alone anymore!"

Jaehyun pointed at the sky, dead serious. "I swear if that kid grows faster than my bok choy, I'm retiring."

Meanwhile, in a dim council chamber...

Elders whispered over footage of the glowing infant.

"Two Green Awakeners… unprecedented.""If the boy's aura matures, he could surpass Choi Jaehyun.""Then the 'Green Lineage' truly begins…"

A cold silence fell. One elder muttered:

"Or the world itself is trying to heal."

Back on the farm — ending scene

Jaehyun leaned against his hoe, watching the sunset.Bok choy leaves rustled in the breeze.

"First they made me Director," he muttered."Now there's a mini-me who photosynthesizes when he burps."

He sighed, exhausted, but somewhere deep inside, his aura pulsed faintly — warmer, brighter.

"Guess… it's not so bad if the kid grows up in a world that's green again."

Woojin shouted from afar, "Director! The potatoes exploded again!"

Jaehyun took a long breath, stared at the sky, and whispered—

"God, just take me now."

Thus began the era of two Green Awakeners… and one man's endless suffering in the name of photosynthesis
