A new color has appeared in the world... and so has Jaehyun's biggest nightmare — his parents acting like teenagers again.
1. The Whispering Fields
It began with the sound of laughter. Not human laughter — soft, lilting, echoing through the green fields.
When Jaehyun turned, he found one of the new sprouts trembling... giggling.
He blinked. "Okay. Plants aren't supposed to giggle."
The sprout shimmered — faint purple veins crawling along its leaves. Then it spoke.
"Heehee~ water me~ I'm thirsty~"
Jaehyun screamed, fell backward, and dumped the watering can over his head."NOPE. NOPE. I'M DONE. WE'RE BURNING THE FIELD."
Minho popped up from behind a haystack, clutching his notebook."Wait! Don't burn it! That's talking flora! This could be the next evolutionary stage!"
Jaehyun jabbed a finger at him. "Dad, that's possessed lettuce!"
The plant giggled again. "Daddy~ water me too~"
Jaehyun's soul left his body.
2. Arrival of Disaster No. 2: Mom
A powerful beam of golden light sliced through the sky — followed by a woman descending gracefully like an angel wrapped in tactical gear.
Choi Yeonjin, Class-S Light Awakener.Revered. Elegant. The kind of woman who could heal entire armies... or terrify her son with a single smile.
"Jaehyun~!" she called warmly.
Jaehyun froze. "Oh no."
From behind him, Minho squeaked."Oh no ×2!"
Yeonjin landed softly, brushing dust from her immaculate coat. "I've missed you both~! How's my hardworking farmer boy and my brave husband—"
She turned to her husband.
Minho hid behind Jaehyun like a shy squirrel behind a tree. "...H-Hi, honey."
Yeonjin's eyes sparkled. "Aww, still shy after twenty-five years~?"
Jaehyun looked between them, horrified. "Wait. Still shy? Then—how did I happen?!"
Minho's face turned red.Yeonjin chuckled sweetly. "Oh, dear~ it's quite simple. Your father fainted halfway, but I'm persistent."
Jaehyun screamed into the void.
3. The Violet Aura Mystery
Later, in a (mostly failed) attempt to look professional, Jaehyun gathered everyone in the greenhouse: his mom, dad, the kids, and a sleeping Bongyu.
Yeonjin examined the strange purple plants, her hand glowing with divine light."It's not corruption," she murmured. "Not entirely. It's… life trying to adapt. It's merging with mana differently."
Jaehyun frowned. "So it's not evil?"
The plant waved a leaf. "I'm not evil! I'm just lonely!"
Jaehyun deadpanned. "See, that's what an evil plant would say."
Yeonjin giggled. "You're so dramatic, dear."
Minho whispered from behind Jaehyun, "It is suspiciously polite…"
"Dad, stop hiding behind me! You're literally the Wind Hero!"
Minho: "Wind doesn't tank damage, son!"
4. Chaos in the Green Kindergarten
During "plant monitoring," the kids started naming the purple sprouts:
"Mister Wiggleleaf"
"Queen Eggplant II"
"Sir Snugglepot the Third"
Jaehyun lost control in under three minutes.
"Stop naming them! We're not adopting the vegetation!"
Then one of the plants asked softly, "Can I have a family too?"
The kids gasped dramatically.Bongyu woke up mid-yawn, pointed at the talking plant, and his aura pulsed — a bright green wave washing over it.
The violet shimmer flickered... then stabilized. The leaves grew fuller, the color gentler.
Yeonjin smiled. "See? Green and violet — harmony."
Jaehyun slumped to the ground. "My life has become a moral lesson from a children's storybook."
5. The Parents' "Romantic" Interlude
After dinner (which Jaehyun cooked while pretending not to exist), Yeonjin and Minho sat together under the moonlight, talking quietly.Minho, still flustered, offered her a mug of herbal tea with trembling hands.
Yeonjin accepted it with a smile that could melt glaciers. "You still make tea the same way."
"I, uh… practiced for ten years," Minho mumbled.
"Ten years for tea?" she teased.
"Worth it," he said, smiling shyly.
Jaehyun watched from afar, horrified and emotional at once.
"Why are they so wholesome?! And embarrassing?! How do I inherit their genes and still end up like… this?!"
Bongyu, still half-asleep, offered him a leaf."Jaehyun... water…"
Jaehyun sighed, pouring water gently over the baby's hand. "Yeah, yeah. You're the cute one now. Fine."
6. Foreshadowing — The Bloom Spreads
As night deepened, Yeonjin looked toward the distant city skyline.Tiny violet glimmers shimmered faintly — spreading slowly through the ruined horizon.
She frowned. "It's accelerating."
Jaehyun followed her gaze. "More talking plants?"
"Maybe. Or something learning faster than it should."
The baby snored, the plants whispered, and Minho quietly hummed a lullaby in the background.
Jaehyun pinched the bridge of his nose.
"If the apocalypse starts again, I'm blaming agriculture."
