Chapter 6 — The Reality of the Meeting

Tsukishiro stepped into Ayanokoji's office with a tablet in hand.

"Sir, I've sent her the email," he said, confirming the meeting details formally and professionally.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city, Suzune sat at her desk, still fuming after cutting the phone call.

"Why do people think it's funny to waste my time?" she muttered under her breath. "And now… someone pranks me like this?"

Her thoughts were interrupted by the soft ping of a new email notification. Frowning, she opened her inbox and saw a message from the Ayanokoji Empire.

Her heart skipped a beat. She clicked it, and as she read, her eyes widened in disbelief.

"It's… real. It's actually from Mr. Ayanokoji."

Memories of the phone call rushed back, and she couldn't help but scold herself internally.

"I thought it was a prank call… what was I thinking? This is serious. I… I have to do the meeting. But… what do I do? I need to inform my family first."

Determined, she rose from her chair and walked briskly toward her brother's office. She needed guidance, even if he barely noticed her anymore.

Before she could reach the elevator, a familiar voice rang out sharply.

"Where are you going, Suzune?"

She turned her head slightly. The woman from before — the higher manager who had thrown water on her and belittled her — was standing at the doorway, arms crossed, smirking.

"You need to finish your work first," the woman snapped.

Suzune's eyes narrowed, and her tone was ice-cold. "I don't have time for you," she said firmly. Without another word, she continued walking toward the elevator.

The woman scoffed and muttered something under her breath, but Suzune ignored it. Her mind was focused. She had a meeting with Mr. Ayanokoji — a chance she could not waste.

As the elevator doors closed, Suzune took a deep breath, steadying herself.

"No one will stop me. Not my coworkers, not my family… no one. I will prove myself — and I will not fail."

The elevator began its ascent, carrying her closer to a turning point that would change her life forever.
