So, after finishing the bomb an hour ago, she had been sitting by the window, enjoying the beautiful scenery to pass the time until Xia En and the others woke up. Now that the newspapers had arrived, she had an even better way to occupy herself.
Klee tiptoed out of the bedroom and down the stairs to the first floor. Although she was eager to go fishing, she didn't want to wake anyone up.
With a slight "creak," the main door opened, and the bright morning light made Klee squint.
She shielded her forehead with her hand and saw two newspapers on the mailbox: one reporting on world current affairs, and the other detailing the local situation on the Sabaody Archipelago.
Klee was, of course, more interested in the world newspaper.
"'Fire Fist' Ace to be Executed Soon!"
The front page headline hadn't changed. It showed Ace, stained with blood, flames swirling behind him, and the final clash of fists with the Blackbeard who had defeated him.
As someone who also possessed fire ability, Klee's impression of Ace, based solely on the photo, was quite good. All the people she had met who used fire abilities—whether it was Amber, Diluc, or now Xia En—were kind people who made her feel warm.
And that guy called Blackbeard—not only was his appearance ugly, but his entire body was shrouded in a strange dark aura. This kind of dark aura was a symbol of evil even on the continent of Teyvat.
Klee wasn't one to judge by appearance, but she instinctively disliked the person named Blackbeard.
This dislike intensified after reading the paper's subsequent report: Blackbeard had betrayed his crewmate, stolen a Devil Fruit, and then handed Ace over to the Marine Government to claim a Warlord of the Sea position.
This guy is just as awful as that Doflamingo that Brother Xia En talked about.
"Whitebeard Pirates, you must win!"
Klee clenched her little fists and cheered for them as she looked at the newspaper, like a child rooting for Ultraman in front of a TV.
"That won't be easy to win. The Marines are the strongest force in this world. One Emperor isn't nearly enough to save someone from them. You'd need at least two Emperors teaming up."
A strange male voice spoke up from beside Klee.
"Though, a scene like two Emperors teaming up, we probably won't get to see in our lifetime."
Klee was startled by the sudden voice. Clutching her chest, she realized a strange man wearing a round hat and holding a long sword was suddenly sitting on the mailbox, and the remaining local Sabaody Archipelago newspaper was gone.
She puffed out her cheeks and pointed at the stranger angrily.
"You startled Klee! You should say hello before talking to someone!"
It was only after saying this that she realized: This is my house entrance, and this stranger has entered the yard without permission, and he's carrying a sword.
Thinking of this, Klee's eyes became vigilant. She secretly channeled Pyro Elemental Power into her left hand, while her right hand instantly reached behind her. "Oh no, I didn't bring my backpack!"
Her only weapons, all her bombs, were in her backpack in the bedroom.
"No need to be nervous. My name is Trafalgar Law. I've come today to clear up the misunderstanding from a few days ago, and I have absolutely no intention of offense."
Law's voice was flat. He remained seated on the mailbox, showing none of the restraint expected of a visitor.
He noticed the fire gradually gathering in Klee's left palm. A flash of light quickly crossed his eyes. Combining Klee's figure and appearance, he instantly thought of the "Bombing Maniac" who had become quite famous on the Sabaody Archipelago in the last few days.
"So you're the little girl who deliberately blew up the Celestial Dragon's slave ship. I didn't expect you'd be living here too..."
Law's voice wavered, his eyes wide with surprise. This little house was giving him more and more surprises: first the orange-haired captain with Supreme King Haki, then the Supernova Drake, and now the "Bombing Maniac."
He was starting to regret coming here. With several people of such strength gathered together and having actively attacked a Celestial Dragon, who knew what earth-shattering events they would cause next?
Even he currently only planned on taking down Doflamingo, one of the Warlords of the Sea.
"Klee didn't deliberately blow it up, no... wait, Klee didn't blow it up!"
Having her identity revealed so quickly, Klee was instantly flustered.
Xia En had told her that she was wanted by the Marines with a bounty of fifty million Berries, and if she was recognized, she would be captured by bad guys and taken to a Marine base to collect the bounty money.
You already let the cat out of the bag.
Watching the little girl's poor acting, Law felt helpless. He now felt that this group of people might simply be living together and might not have the grand scheme he'd imagined.
"Excuse me, are the orange-haired captain and Captain Drake awake? I'd like to meet with them." Law sighed, feeling it was more reliable to talk to the adults.
"They probably aren't up yet. Do you want Klee to go wake them up for you?" Klee's eyes sparkled with anticipation. Waking them up now meant they could go out to bomb fish sooner.
"No need, I'm already awake."
The window on the second floor suddenly opened, revealing a mop of striking orange hair. Xia En looked down at Klee and Law, yawning as he spoke.
He had been startled awake when Klee channeled her Pyro Elemental Power, thinking an enemy had arrived. Only after realizing it was Law did he calmly get dressed in his room.
He vaulted out of the second-floor window and landed steadily next to the two of them.
"Brother Xia En! You're awake!"
Klee cried out excitedly. Though she was cheerful, facing a stranger alone still made her a little uneasy, and she couldn't judge whether the person was friendly.
So, with Xia En's arrival, she suddenly felt much more confident, now even having the presence of mind to eye the long sword on Law's hip.
"Mm, you're up so early, Klee!" Xia En glanced briefly at Law, then patted Klee's head and answered with a smile.
"Actually, I haven't slept. I just finished the bomb a little while ago, and I was afraid that if I fell asleep, the morning's fishing plan would be cancelled."
Klee answered truthfully, bowing her head slightly. She was a little worried; if it were Master Jean, she would probably be sent back to her room to catch up on sleep in this situation.
But Xia En was completely different.
"Will you still have the energy to take us fishing later? You're our main power, Klee!"
"Of course! You must believe in Klee's passion for bombing fish!" Klee's eyes lit up.
"Then let's have a great morning of fun, and you can take a nap this afternoon!"
"Yay!"
Klee cheered happily. Xia En told her not to be so loud and to go wash up first. It was only around six o'clock, and Kagura and Drake hadn't woken up yet.
Klee glanced at Law, and after seeing a reassuring look from Xia En, she headed back inside.
At this point, only Xia En and Law, who had not spoken a word, remained in the yard.
The atmosphere suddenly became awkward.
"You..." Xia En didn't know where to start. Directly inviting the other party to join his small group to take down Doflamingo would be too abrupt.
"Is she your daughter?"
However, Law's single sentence froze Xia En on the spot.
