In the following tens of minutes, Xia En and Law held a negotiation in the small courtyard that was not entirely honest but very amicable.
In the end, both sides were satisfied, establishing a temporary, cooperative, and mutually assisting combat alliance with the goal of overthrowing Donquixote Doflamingo's status as a Warlord of the Sea.
Upon learning that Xia En and his crew's target was also Doflamingo, Law's attitude changed by ninety degrees.
For him, this trip was highly rewarding. Xia En's deep knowledge of Dressrosa far exceeded his imagination.
The Tontatta Tribe (Little People) of Dressrosa, the former princess Rebecca in the coliseum, and the other princess, Viola (Violet), who was currently a high-ranking executive in the Doflamingo Pirates—all of these people harbored deep grudges against Doflamingo. By finding them, they would definitely secure considerable help.
He also learned from Xia En about the Doflamingo Pirate's greatest weakness: the helper who allowed Doflamingo to rule Dressrosa—Sugar, the possessor of the Hobi Hobi no Mi (Hobby-Hobby Fruit).
Disposing of her would turn all the toy people in Dressrosa back into humans.
Combined with his own investigation into Doflamingo's artificial Devil Fruit trade with the Emperor Kaido, if he were to go to the New World and capture Caesar Clown, the cessation of artificial fruit production would bring Kaido's wrath down upon Doflamingo.
"Orange-haired Captain, then I'll see you in the New World."
Law suppressed his excitement, looking at Xia En with gratitude.
He wished he could leave for the New World immediately to make advance preparations for his grand scheme.
Before leaving, he intentionally left behind a Den Den Mushi (Transponder Snail) for contact. It was a snail also wearing a round hat and sporting a cold expression, bearing a striking resemblance to Law himself.
After a final slight bow of farewell to Xia En, with a "whoosh," he vanished from the spot, and a newspaper slowly drifted down to the ground.
"He sure leaves fast, exactly the same as last time," Xia En muttered to himself, bending down to pick up the newspaper from the ground. He then grabbed the newspaper Klee had finished reading and placed on the mailbox. He intended to put all the papers in the living room for when they had time to relax.
By this time, the sun was gradually rising, and the morning light poured into the small courtyard.
Before summoning Klee and gaining the Elf bloodline, the influence of his Yato bloodline made him reluctant to bask in the sunlight, as it caused discomfort to his skin.
However, after acquiring a certain amount of Elf bloodline, his discomfort seemed to have been neutralized, reducing it to something closer to a normal person's. He no longer had to carry a parasol at the slightest hint of strong sun, like Kagura did.
It was now close to seven o'clock, and Kagura and Drake were also awake.
At Klee's urging, the group changed into their going-out clothes, preparing to first grab breakfast at the market, then rent a boat to carry out the plan they had set yesterday.
Klee skipped ahead, carrying a bulging backpack full of her bombs, yet not minding the weight at all.
Xia En walked behind her, occasionally having to point her in the right direction.
"Hah—" Meanwhile, Kagura held her parasol, yawning as she stared at Xia En's heels.
This was a habit she had recently developed. Walking behind Xia En meant she didn't have to focus on the road or worry about bumping into pedestrians. Sometimes, she could even walk with her eyes closed and sleep, only stopping when she walked straight into Xia En's back.
Also, when she got tired, she could simply hang onto Xia En's back and have him carry her for a while, though he always forcefully shook her off after a short distance.
Drake trailed at the very back. He hadn't wanted to participate, feeling that letting a girl Klee's age set off bombs was unreliable. He was worried they'd blow themselves up before they even got to the Sea Kings.
But embarrassingly, among the four people present, he was the only one who knew how to sail a boat, or who had any experience navigating the sea at all.
