Eilghy said, "The new VGM, please meet me at 7 p.m. to discuss the work I will assign to you."
"Alright," Sherryn replied briefly.
---
The meeting had ended, and GM Tom introduced Sherryn to the executives.
"CEO Dyr, I'd like to introduce our new VGM," said GM Tom.
"Go ahead," replied Eilghy.
Sherryn stood up.
"Good afternoon everyone, my name is Sherryn Waserley, and I'll be working as the Vice General Manager, or VGM. I look forward to your help and cooperation," she said politely.
"Welcome to Brightern, VGM Sher!" greeted Eilghy warmly.
"Nice to meet you, VGM Sher. I'm CRO Lucas. You're very beautiful," said Lucas, extending his hand.
"If you ever need assistance, feel free to contact me in the VCEO's office," said Aiden, also offering his hand.
Sherryn shook hands and greeted the executives, except for Eilghy, who had left early due to urgent work.
In her heart, Sherryn said,
'Luckily, he left first. I really didn't want to shake hands with him. It would've been so awkward.'
---
Sherryn returned to her office, hoping time would move slowly so she could avoid meeting Eilghy.
'I really didn't expect him to be the CEO of this company. Every time I saw him, he was always alone. I should've read the documents about the Dyroon family that Mrs. Jull gave me back then. Anyway, I must read those documents tonight!' she thought to herself.

When 7 p.m. arrived, no matter how much she wanted to avoid it, Sherryn had to go to Eilghy's office. Now she was standing in front of his secretary's desk.
"Good evening, Ms. Beatrix. I have an appointment with CEO Dyr at 7 p.m.," said Sherryn.
"Good evening, VGM Sher. Please wait inside CEO Dyr's office. He's currently outside but will arrive shortly," replied Secretary Beatrix.
Beatrix escorted Sherryn into Eilghy's office. The room was spacious, luxurious, and grand every decoration looked elegant and expensive.
Sherryn sat on the sofa in the center of the room. Beatrix served her tea in a beautiful cup.
The atmosphere felt like being in a royal chamber, but in a modern office version.
After a short while, Eilghy arrived.
Sherryn immediately stood and greeted him with a bow.
"Good evening, CEO Dyr," she said politely.
"Bow lower," Eilghy replied.
"Huh?.. Alright," Sherryn said, confused by his strange order, and bowed deeper.
"Not enough, lower," said Eilghy, standing not far in front of her with an arrogant expression, both hands in his pockets.
Sherryn was utterly puzzled by his command to keep bowing.
'What a power-hungry man!' she screamed in her mind while bending further.
Eilghy walked toward his desk, and Sherryn straightened her posture, following him.
He sat down and said, "Why are you following me?" with a sharp glare.
"Huh?..," Sherryn was too stunned to respond, confused by his words.
"Why did you follow me here?" he asked again.
"I'm sorry, sir. What do you mean? I came here because you told me to this morning," she replied politely.
"I meant, why did you follow me when I walked over here? Did I tell you to stand up from your bow?" he said in an intimidating tone.
"My apologies. I'll bow again then," said Sherryn seriously as she bent again.
"Good," replied Eilghy casually, opening some documents and occasionally checking his monitor, ignoring Sherryn who was still bowing at a 95° angle.
'What on earth is wrong with this man? He's insane!' she shouted internally.
Five minutes passed before Eilghy finally said,
"Straighten up."
"Alright," said Sherryn, muttering in her heart, 'You could've said that earlier.'
Eilghy stared intently at her face, his cold and sharp eyes making Sherryn feel increasingly uneasy.
She asked, "Is there something wrong with my face?"
"You're very ugly," he said bluntly.
"I'll take that as a compliment," Sherryn replied with a polite smile.
In her heart, she thought, 'What an unpredictable man.'
"Who said it was a compliment? I clearly said you're ugly because you are ugly," Eilghy said, frowning.
Sherryn wanted to run out of the room; she couldn't understand why the CEO was being so infuriating.
"I'm sorry, CEO Dyr. I admit my face is indeed ugly," she said, still trying to remain composed.
"Not just your face everything about you is ugly," he added flatly.
'WHAT AN INFURIATING MAN!!!' Sherryn screamed inside her head.
"Understood, CEO Dyr," she replied with a forced smile.
"Enough. Sit over there," Eilghy said, motioning toward the sofa behind her.
"Alright," she said, sitting down quickly.
"How much do you understand about your role as VGM?" asked Eilghy as he sat on the opposite sofa, carrying some documents.
"In short, as a VGM, I'm responsible for managing business planning, overseeing daily operations in all company branches, managing financial flow, developing and maintaining business strategies and resources, and making decisions involving both internal and external communication and negotiation," she answered confidently.
"Is that so?" replied Eilghy, staring at her.
"Yes," she responded.
"A classic answer," he said coldly.
Sherryn began to explain, "Alright, I'll elaborate more det—"
"No need," he interrupted.
"Understood," she replied with a thin smile.
"I'll give GM Tom two weeks off at the beginning of next month because he deserves it. During that time, you'll handle the management work. Also, since you're not married, I assume it won't be a problem if I assign you to the Nexus Island branch one day," said Eilghy calmly.
