Aki swung his left shoulder which had been stabbed by Jack's spear. Now healed thanks to Xi.
Morning had come and the people of Riverstone were grieving their losses in the attack that transpired.
Awia sat alone on the balcony, the sunlight bathing her skin.
"How are you?" Aki asked her as he also took a seat on the balcony.
"Elder Milan said he wished for me to be happy and i really wonder what that means, for me and everyone around me" Awia responded as she look at her hands and cloth, all covered in blood.
"I don't know what to do?" She said as she looked up at the sunlight.
"You can try" Aki said to her.
"What?" She asked surprisingly.
"You can try anything. Anything you want. Shopping, fishing, farming, traveling, you can even be a knight... If that's what you want of course" Aki responded as he tried to cheer her up.
She stared at him for a second then she laughed, she laughed soo loud everyone looked in her direction.
Aki smiled.
"Me, a knight? I don't think so." Awia said as she cleaned her tears with the back of her hand.
"You can be whatever you want." Aki said as he looked her in the eyes.
"I also want to thank you again for healing my friend and your people for taking care of us." Aki added as he got up.
"I'm going to go clean myself up now and get ready to move."
At the hall the Paladins,Priests, Priestess and Clerics had a meeting.
"After Elder Milan's passing, bless his soul. We have to report this incident to the capital as well as the Holy Oracle, Sir Xerox will report the attack to the Knights and a hunt will begin for Jack and the remainder of his men." Xi said to the rest of his people.
"I have something to say..." Awia said out as he stood up and everyone listened.
"After last night, i don't think i can stay here anymore. I still want to help people, help children but not here i can't do it anymore." Awia said as she stopped herself from crying.
"I will still be in contact with you all. I still have a manaphone connected to the one here. I will call regularly and check on everyone and if anything comes up, i will always come to help however i can." Awia said as he took her sit.
The room was silent. Priestess Noma, a middle aged woman, stood up from her sit.
"After Elder Milan's passing i am the next in terms of authority and if that is your wish sister Awia, we will not stop you." Priestess Noma said.
"I will also assume the role of coordinator and caretaker of this unit, Xi forward the update the Holy Oracle." She added.
"Yes ma'am." Xi replied and began writing a letter to be transmitted to their Head Office.
"Thank you all." Awia said as she walked out of the hall heading to her room to clean up.
"Look who's up?" Aki said to Lee as they shook hands.
"You sure took your time." He added with a laugh.
"It's the werewolf poison. WEREWOLF POISON!." Lee said in his defense.
The trio cleaned themselves up and were ready to leave.
"Please share one last breakfast with us." The female Paladin said to the group as stood by their door.
"Alright. We can do that." Aki says as he signals his guild members to follow her to the hall.
At the dining hall Priestess Noma rises up before they begin their breakfast.
"We eat this breakfast in honour of Elder Milan, he was a true father and keeper of this place." She shouts out.
"To father Milan!." The people shout out in response and begin their meal.
After Breakfast Aki leads his men to the stable where they retrieve their horses and get ready to depart.
"Where to Boss? We gotta have somewhere to go?". Lee asked.
"Alright. Lemme see." Aki replied as he took out his map.
"Here is Riverstone.. so next should be the wizard town of Zo". Aki said to his men.
"Zo? How far is that?" Lee asked.
"Not too far. We can reach there in a few days, we have the supplies." Aki replied.
"Okay boss. Your call." Lee said as he got in his horse.
Inside the Church, Awia wished everyone good luck and blessed the children. They hugged her so tight and wouldn't let her go.
"Don't worry, i will be sure to visit once in a while." She told them with a smile.
She received supplies from the church, a horse and a tearful goodbye from her loved ones.
As the three adventurers were heading out of the town they heard a voice calling out to them.
"Hey!!! Wait up!!". It was Awia, her horse galloped as fast as it could to reach the travellers.
"I'm coming with you." She told them.
"Uhmm okay." Aki said and continued moving forward.
"Just like that?". Awia asked.
"Yup. Just like that, oh and i realised we need a healer or we'll be dead in a few days." Aki replied her.
"True." Lee and Merlin responded.
"Welcome to El Diablo." Aki told her.
"What kind of name is that?". Awia asked.
"It's from something my dad used to say." Aki told her.
"Where's your dad?". Awia inquired.
"He's mis.. he's dead". Aki told her with his last conversation with Custos about their fathers floating around his head.
"So where are we going now?". Awia asked.
"To a place called Zo." Aki replied her.
"I've heard of it, it would be really nice to see a place like that, a town full of wizards." Awia responded.
"The adventure awaits madam." Aki said as he urged his horse to speed up and the four adventurers rode out of the town.
Back at the Capital.
Custos washed up and prepared for his day.
"Where are you going Custos?". His grandma asked.
"To the trail grandma." He replied her.
"The Knight Trials?. His grandmother asked.
"Yes grandma, trust me. I'll get it and I'll make all of you proud." Custos said as he kissed his grandma on her cheek.
"Don't forget to tell grandpa where i am?". He shouted as he closed the door.
Custos running through the streets and heading for the knights auditorium, took a deep breath and said to himself;
"Today is going to be a good day.".
As he runs into the auditorium, alongside him hundreds of boys and girls who travelled from far and near, willing and praying to become Knights.
