All of Team Beta drew their weapons as they entered the town.
"What happened here?". Skye said to Cynthia.
"That's what we are here to find out". Cynthia replied her as she stepped off her horse.
The mist revealed blood stained streets, walls and houses. Custos threw up on the ground.
"Who or what could've done this?". Custos said out loud in horror as he got off his horse.
"Captain Cordius sent us here to investigate whatever happened as others have lost contact with the town and it's inhabitants for some weeks and we lost contact with the knight that was stationed here.Sir Lockwood." Layla said as she too got off her horse.
"We're here to find out what happened to the town and what happened to him, nothing happens to one of our own and we sit down and let the preparators walk." Layla added as she looked at Custos, trying to reassure him.
"Observe these scratches on the walls a d floor, it's like a werewolf attacked but that would impossible". Cynthia said to Team Beta.
"There is soo much blood". Layla said as she was visibly disturbed by the gory sight.
"The question is, if something wiped out this entire village then where are the bodies?". Custos said out loud as he touched a wall smeared in blood.
"Maybe it ate them or teleported their bodies, i dunno". Hendrix replied Custos.
"There is a trace of a strange energy, it seems magical but chaotic, wild almost unstable." Cynthia said as she used her sensory abilities to scan the environment.
"I haven't seen anything like this." Cynthia told the team.
"I HAVE!"
A voice was heard from a distance above, it was a cloaked figure sitting on the rooftop.
"And who might you be?". Cynthia asked.
"Why, i am the reason for all these." The figure said to her, a smile visible from under it's hood. It was a male voice, the figure was shorter than average.
He descended from the top of the building and slowly approached the group.
"You see me and my friend here were doing something really important." The figure said to them.
"And what's that?". Cynthia asked as her and team beta armed themselves.
"Oh just a little ritual to feed the master's pet." The figure replied her.
"Friend? So there's more of you." Cynthia said as she proceeded to clone herself with Bio Alchemy the alchemy of the body, she also augmented her body and prepared for an attack.
"AHH yes Alchemy, never found something i like it in study." The figure said as it drew closer.
"Wrath! Please treat our guests nicely." He added.
"Who?". Cynthia uttered as she suddenly felt a strange presence behind her, she quickly looked back only to see another clocked figure possibly 7 feet tall and extremely large, but how did it get behind her without her notice. She thought to herself.
The huge figure moves his fist it was fast.. too fast. Cynthia blocked the attack with her body and armour but she was sure she lost 2 ribs as she was sent flying into a building.
"Lady Cynthia!". Layla yelled out.
"Excellent."
"Now what do we do with you younglings." The shorter figure said out loud.
Hendrix looked at Skye and they nodded heads. Skye was already armed with her gauntlets as she ran towards the figure.
"Running towards something headfirst isn't going to do much darling". The figure said as he raised his hand.
Skye disappeared.
The figure was surprised.
Skye stood behind the figure and pointed the index finger of her right hand behind the figure's head before he turned she fired a vaccum of air into the head of figure.
BOOM!
The figure staggered for a bit and a huge hole was visible as half of it's head was gone.
"Amazing. You're this young and you're doing things like this." The figure said to her.
Skye looked in horror as the the contents of it's head began to bubble brain matter and all as it regenerated itself,his hood now torn revealed his face and his bright red eyes.
"What are...YOU?". Skye said with trembling in her voice.
"TOMORROW! That's what i am, we are the next best thing". The figure shouted out. His hair short, thick and black, his face round and smallish same as his size. His face was hairless, black and red veins began to appear around his eyes.
Custos had sneaked his way through the broken structures and attempted to attack the figure from behind.
"Don't do that boy... You would die." The figure said to Custos as he stopped in his tracks.
"While you attempted to attack me, all this time you forgot my friend over there." The figure added as the huge cloaked man rammed Custos from his side into a building, crushing his right arm.
"Custos!". Hendrix screamed out as Skye ran towards the smaller figure only to disappear again now appearing on top of the huge man and fired multiple vaccums from the fingertips of her armor.
She did not damaged the huge cloaked man.
He proceeded to grab her instantly crushing her ribs.
"Don't forget about us". Cynthia's clones screamed out as they turned wood into silver javelins and threw them with incredible force at the huge man. The javelins pierced him causing him to drop the unconscious Skye.
"Layla NOW!". Hendrix screamed out from a distance to Layla.
Large roots began to appear from the ground breaking the earth as Layla controlled the huge roots to crush the two cloaked figures.
"You think this would've gone faster if she came." The smaller figure said to his partner.
"I don't care." The huge man said in a raspy voice as he broke up of the huge branches a reddish aura of a strange energy emitting from his body. He screamed out.
"RAHHHHHHH". As he sprinted towards Layla. He disappeared.
Hendrix let out a sigh of relief.
A hand immediately sliced Hendrix throat as he struggled to breathe. It was the smaller cloaked man.
"I understand it now. Spatial Magic. It's a really beat trick." The figure said as it shook off the blood from it's fingers.
ZZZZZHHHHHHH!
A sound almost like an electrifying charge was heard, the smaller figure looked behind him only to see Custos had emerged from the damaged structure. He held his sword in his one good arm and was absorbing the energy from the ball of fire in his front.
"YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS!!!". Custos screamed with all his might as his sword was enveloped in flames.
