Her answer hit him like a speeding truck that was always responsible for yeeting people into another life. She knew?
His heart pounded, and for a moment he couldn't breathe. This situation was even more scarier than his first encounter with a supernatural being that wanted nothing more but to end him.
"Y—You did?" He stuttered. What was more frightening was her reaction, if it was back then, she'd be threatening him with a disownment letter. But now? She was so calm that it sent chills down his spine.
