"L—Lady Kaori?"
Murmurs filled the air the moment Lady Kaori was seen sitting at the far edge of the classroom.
Students leaned toward one another, most covered their mouths with their hands, and had their eyes wide with disbelief. Some whispered into their friend's ears, while others simply stared, unsure if what they were seeing was real.
Everyone in Metro City knew the Kaori name. It was one of the great noble families. They were rich, powerful, respected, and feared.
Their children were always placed in the top classes, surrounded by elite talents and promising prodigies. Yet here she was, sitting behind a desk of Class 1D, the lowest class in the academy. The class where those with the weakest abilities were sent. The class everyone avoided.
"Impossible..."
"How could someone like her be placed here?"
"There must be a mistake…"
No one could believe it, especially since she was part of those that actually went through the second stage and actually won.
