Chapter 17 - chapter 16_argument

He go into the bed he held her hand and kiss her

The next morning Daisy woke up in Leo's room. Her head throbbed softly, memories of their heated argument flooding back in broken flashes. She looked around, confusion mixing with anger and shame.

Her heart tightened — she couldn't believe things had gone so far. As she tried to stand, her legs trembled, and she sank back onto the bed, tears spilling down her cheeks.

The door creaked open. Leo stepped in quietly, guilt written all over his face.

"Daisy…" he murmured, reaching out to help her.

But she pushed his hand away, her voice shaking. "Don't touch me, Leo. Please… just don't."

Daisy wiped her tears and forced herself to stand, her body still trembling. She didn't want to look at him — not after everything that happened.

"Daisy, please," Leo said softly, stepping forward. "You're not in the right state to—"

"Don't tell me what I should or shouldn't do!" she shouted, her voice cracking mid-sentence. "You've done enough!"

Leo froze, guilt washing over him. He had never seen her this broken before.

She staggered toward the door, refusing to look back. Every step felt heavier, but her pride wouldn't let her stop. When she finally reached the gate, her bodyguards rushed to her side, their faces filled with concern.

"Miss Daisy!" one of them called out, quickly opening the car door. They helped her inside gently, and without another word, the car drove off, leaving Leo standing at the gate, silent — watching the only woman he had ever truly loved disappear from sight.

Because after that night five years ago he has not slept with any another person.

As soon as Daisy reached home, she couldn't hold it in any longer. The moment the door closed behind her, tears spilled down her cheeks. Her bodyguard wanted to ask what happened, but one look at her face said enough — she was shattered.

She walked weakly into the living room, her legs barely carrying her. Her mother, Biti, came out of the kitchen, surprised to see her daughter in such a state.

"Daisy, sweetheart… what happened?" she asked, rushing to her side.

Daisy shook her head, her voice breaking. "Mom… I… I can't do this anymore."

Biti guided her to sit down, holding her close as Daisy finally burst into tears, clutching her mother's arms tightly.

Daisy shook her head, her voice breaking. "Mom… I… I can't do this anymore."

Biti guided her to sit down, holding her close as Daisy finally burst into tears, clutching her mother's arms tightly.

"He—he took Kulture away from me," Daisy sobbed, her voice trembling. "And I couldn't stop him. I tried, I really did… but he didn't even listen. He just…" Her words faded into choked cries.

Miss Bennett saw what was on her neck and know what happened

Miss Bennett heart ached seeing her daughter like that. She stroked Daisy's hair gently and whispered, "Shh… my child, don't cry. Everything will be fine. He might be angry now, but truth always finds its way."

Daisy lifted her teary eyes. "Mom, he hates me. He thinks I lied to him. After all these years, he still doesn't believe me…"

Her mother sighed softly. "If he truly loved you once, he'll come to understand. But you must stay strong for Kulture. Don't let this pain break you."

Daisy nodded weakly, resting her head on her mother's shoulder as fresh tears rolled down her face. For a long moment, silence filled the room — only the quiet sound of her sobs could be heard.

The next morning, Leo barely slept. The guilt kept gnawing at him. He had hurt Daisy — the one woman he had once sworn to protect. After dropping Kulture off with the nanny, he called his assistant.

"Book a ticket," he said quietly. "We're going back to the country by tomorrow."

"Yes, sir," the assistant replied, sensing the weight in his boss's tone but saying nothing more. Leo drove straight to Daisy's house. His heart pounded as he stood before the unfamiliar gate. He took a deep breath, then knocked.

It wasn't Daisy who opened the door — it was her mother, Biti. Her expression softened slightly when she saw him, but her eyes carried disappointment.

"Leo…" she said calmly. "Why are you here?"

"I came to see Daisy," he said. His voice was low, strained. "Please, I didn't mean for things to happen that way. I lost my temper. I swear, I never wanted to hurt her."
