Chapter 19 - chapter 18_I Iove you

Small footsteps came pattering across the floor, and seconds later, the little girl appeared.

"Mummy!" Kulture's face lit up instantly, her voice pure and bright. She ran as fast as her tiny legs could carry her.

Daisy dropped to her knees, her tears flowing freely as she opened her arms. "Oh, my sweet child…" she sobbed, holding her close. "I've missed you so much."

Kulture hugged her tighter, smiling through her own tears. "Me too, Mummy."

Daisy pressed her lips to her daughter's hair, breathing in the familiar warmth she had longed for. For a brief moment, everything else — the pain, the misunderstanding, the distance — faded away.

But when she looked up, Leo was standing there, watching silently, his expression unreadable — and Daisy knew the storm between them wasn't over yet.

After that tearful reunion, Daisy refused to let Kulture out of her sight. The two of them spent the entire day together.

Inside the garden, laughter echoed — Kulture's tiny giggles filling the air as Daisy chased her gently between the flowers. She helped her daughter fix the bow on her hair, then sat down under the tree as Kulture showed her the drawings she'd made while Daisy was away.

"Look, Mummy! This is you and me," Kulture said proudly, holding up a paper full of bright colors and uneven lines.

Daisy smiled softly, her eyes misty. "It's beautiful, sweetheart. You're such a good artist."

Kulture grinned wide, then climbed onto her lap. "I missed you every day, Mummy. Daddy told me you were busy with work."

Daisy's heart squeezed at the mention of Leo. "Yes," she said gently, stroking her daughter's hair, "but Mummy's here now, okay? I won't leave you again."

The little girl nodded and hugged her tightly. "Promise?"

"Promise."

They spent hours talking, laughing, and eating snacks together. Daisy even helped Kulture feed the little white rabbits Leo kept in the backyard. For the first time in weeks, she felt at peace — the simple joy of holding her daughter washing away her sadness.

When the evening sun began to fall, Leo stood quietly at the balcony above, watching them. His expression was unreadable — guilt and tenderness mixing in his gaze.

Leo called Daisy into the living room after dinner. His tone was calm, but there was something distant in his eyes.

"Daisy," he said, folding his hands together, "Kulture will be staying with me from now on. You can come visit her whenever you want."

Daisy froze. Her chest tightened, her heart pounding painfully. "What… what are you saying?" she whispered, her voice trembling.

"I think it's better this way," Leo replied quietly. "She needs stability."

"Stability?" Daisy snapped, her voice rising as tears filled her eyes. "You promised me, Leo! You said you wouldn't hurt me again. Why are you doing this to me huh? Why she cried

Leo's jaw clenched. He wanted to reach for her, to pull her close and tell her everything would be fine — but he couldn't. He stood there, watching the woman he loved break down in front of him, unable to move.

"Why are you doing this to me?" Daisy cried, her voice cracking. "Do you hate me that much?"

Leo's throat tightened. "Daisy…" was all he managed to say before she turned away, wiping her tears.

She asked to see Kulture one last time before leaving. When their daughter saw her crying, she ran into Daisy's arms.

"Mummy, don't go," Kulture sobbed, clinging tightly to her.

Daisy stroked her daughter's hair, trying to smile through her tears. "Be good, my angel. Mummy loves you so much, okay?"

"I love you too, Mummy," Kulture whispered.

Daisy didn't want to let go. Her hands trembled as she held on tighter, refusing to release her little girl. But then Leo stepped forward. He gently took Kulture from Daisy's arms.

The moment Kulture was in his embrace, her crying slowed. Daisy's heart shattered as she watched her daughter calm down in his arms.

She turned away quickly, her vision blurry. Outside, the sky was already dark — night had fallen. And as Daisy walked out of the house, her sobs echoed softly in the quiet air.

"Leo's heart is confused… mine too 😭 If you felt that, drop a Power Stone for Daisy, she deserves one 💎💕"
